Happy International dog day to my best dude, Oxley!

He came in to my life in a time of major transition, starting a new business isn’t for the faint of heart, but Oxley has been through it all with me. He is one of my biggest supporters, and always knows when mom might need an extra snuggle.

He is the absolute best, and willing to try any adventure…like helping mom bring pick bins down to Santa Cruz in a scary truck. As long as we’re together, he’s a happy camper (well sort of, he still doesn’t love trucks). Me too buddy, me too. ❤️

In the very early hours of the morning, we officially started our 5th harvest! 🍾🍇 Our earliest on record - for reference our earliest harvest prior to this year was August 30th. Our cool climate sites usually take a while to reach full maturity, but not his year.

We pick at night whenever possible in order to capture the freshness of the fruit and allow us to process the fruit cold so we can deliver to tank and hold it on a “cold soak” for 5 days - this helps build color and flavors in our wines. 🍷

This fruit is from the Petaluma Gap, a lovely vineyard called Gap’s View. One of our OG Pinot Noir sites.

We just wrapped our big summer bottling and are so excited to share our newest addition with you all this Spring.

Joelle’s Meunier has been one I have been so excited to make. And thanks to alderspringsvineyard for their amazing farming, she’s a real beauty! 🍇✨

Most of us in the industry have what we call our “aha moment” where we truly get bitten by the wine bug and know there is no turning back. A beautiful bottle of Meunier paired with scrumptious cheese and delectable truffle honey was mine. 🧀🍷❤️

So excited for this wine, I can’t even tell you. And who better to name this wine I have looked up to my whole career than my big sister, Joelle. Good news for our club members, they will get first access when these 60 cases are released. 😊

Barrel pick-up day! Part of being a small winery is learning how to get creative. That’s how my trusty car, Lexi, has found herself leaning in to that pick-up truck lifestyle. 🛻

Barrels are a super important part of our winemaking and I make it a point to match cooperage (barrel maker) with vineyard as well as I can. They are artisanal products and different every year, but most have typical flavor profiles they can help bring out in the wines they are paired with. Think florals, blue fruits, red fruits, spice, structure - never oak. We don’t like overly oaky barrels. 🪻🫐🍓🍒

Harvest 2026, here we come! 🍇 Things are definitely trending early and a bit on the light side this year. We are excited for what Mother Nature will bring and can feel it in our bones that this will be a fantastic (maybe a bit challenging) vintage. 🍷
