A while ago, I was learning to code and use various tools for building web and mobile apps — and ended up making a few. I decided it would be fun to try building my own Motorcycle Marketplace, so check it out! It's been a labor of love and is still a work in progress, but most of the foundation is there.

Some of the features include in-app messaging so registered users can connect with sellers directly, as well as additional contact options. I went a little overboard on the location side of things and will be revisiting that later. I was pretty Seattle-centric at first since I originally planned to keep it limited to Seattle and the surrounding areas — but it now covers the whole PNW.

As a last-minute addition, I wanted to include a stolen bike section. It'll eventually live at the top of the search results, but for now you can find it in the footer — which took me most of the night just to get working. I'm also building out a business account system with online payments, but in the meantime you can reach me through the footer to work something out.

You'll probably run into a few bugs and some interesting navigation quirks, but have fun and try posting something for sale! Be sure to check back often — I'll be adding new features and fun stuff to make this into much more than just a marketplace.

Hi everyone,

Here is some important news about Backfire Motorcycle Night, Community, Space, Bar, and Music Scene and Stage.

It’s been almost two years since we launched our first GoFundMe, and while we've made a lot of progress, and didn't meet our first goal, we managed to have a successful couple of years. However, we still need additional crucial funds to keep this space and event alive. We've been hit with a critical tax bill and other expenses, and we need to raise $5,500 quickly or risk losing the space.

Although it’s been a few years since we were closed down for almost two years due to the pandemic, the financial impact is still with us. However, we’re optimistic that next year will be our breakout year, and we’ll return the event and space to its pre-pandemic glory.

If you enjoy the event, the bar, the community space, or the new music scene and stage area, please consider donating. Your support will help us stay open and continue to build and strengthen this community.

Hey everyone! Three bands are playing this Friday night, August 30th at Backfire Moto, 7701 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103, starting at 7 PM. One of the bands, The Mono Sonic, is the one I play in. Stop by and check us all out! It's going to be a fun summer night. The show starts early and ends early, so don't miss it!

The Laughing Group plays angular, melodic indie rock that's the ideal soundtrack for overthinking.

Continental Giant is an organ+guitar-led instrumental psych band from Seattle. Their songs have an alluring B-movie vibe with a nod to exotica and mid-century beats.

The Mono Sonic is a Seattle indie band with roots in Americana and Fuzzy Psychedelia that takes the listener on road trips across the verdant PNW.
