A *NEW* resource for women contemplating or starting divorce: “5 Money Moves to Get Your Divorce Moving.”

It’s my free checklist you can complete in just one day, with my $avvy tips on how to start establishing your financial independence. Think of it as a mini yoga retreat! 🧘‍♀️

It’s not the same-old advice, I promise. Plus I’ve given you links to try my favorite financial institutions and tools, if you’re the type who doesn’t enjoy researching banks or credit cards. 🤣 Look for my “Quick Pick” links ✴️ on each page.

I call it a checklist, but it’s really a beautiful booklet for your financial fresh start. I designed it with an inspiring yoga theme because…well…ahem…

…in the middle of my weekly yoga class, when I was supposed to be focusing on my breath-body connection, my Business Brain was busy thinking about YOU. And how I could communicate the importance of taking these small but mighty actions to set yourself up for future stability and success.

These 5 Money Moves are like the foundational moves in yoga, I realized. Plank, cobra, up dog, down dog, mountain pose.

Without these basic skills, you can’t move forward in your practice.

Again and again in my work, I see the importance of establishing early financial independence. These 5 Money Moves are practical, totally possible, and most of all, empowering. 💗

Grab the free checklist and take one action — or all 5! — today! (👇 Link in comments below.)

Women’s rights: the right to vote, the right to own property, the right to a no-fault divorce, the right to be awarded an equitable share of the community property in a marital separation.

I fight for these every day.

These and other topics are explored through two women-penned, -acted and -produced shows on a theater tour that departed from Key City Public Theatre in Port Townsend today.

I’m proud to be the sole business sponsor of the “suffrage tour,” joining grant sponsors Humanities Washington, ArtsWA, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

If there is a performance in your part of Washington State this month, run—don’t walk—to see it!

What a fabulous reentry after my month in Mexico. (Yes, I got this gorgeous necklace and earrings there!)

Beach walking thoughts from Mexico…the Pacific coast in Nayarit state.

It’s the last day of a week-long yoga retreat that has opened my eyes and my heart anew.

Listen to the end to learn how I booked a spot at this resort years ago as a “carrot” at the end of my own divorce journey.

I leave you with “loving kindness”: May you be safe, may you be happy, may you be healthy, may you be peaceful.

I’m re-setting my immune system, my nervous system and my coaching systems so I can better serve my clients this New Year.

What a pleasure to return to the Mar de Jade retreat center in this tiny Mexican seaside town north of Puerto Vallarta. I was here years ago to celebrate the sign-off of my own divorce paperwork.

This time my mom is with me ❤️❤️ on a yoga/wellness retreat.

I consider my travels in Mexico to be a “working vacation,” since I’m available for my existing clients (just had a 25-minute phone call this morning with one whose husband has agreed to move out) and I can meet virtually with prospective clients (Zoomed with one in mid-February who booked her first strategy session 5 days later while I was still in San Miguel de Allende).

And my trusty laptop enables me to update my website and other business systems *while* drinking pineapple-parsley juice by the sea 🍹 (look at that condensation ring on the tabletop—my, it’s hot here!).

All this to say that I’m modeling living my best life, which for me is being able to work remotely while exploring new places and meeting new people.

❓What do you imagine your “next best life” to be?

I invite you to join me for a complimentary consultation to explore that together — AND figure out how to fund it.

$avvy divorce coaching is the ticket to jumpstart your journey! 🎟️

Travel exposes us to risks. I’m in Mexico 🇲🇽 for the month, and yesterday violent clashes, roadblocks and and burning vehicles 🔥— elsewhere in the country — rocked local and world newsfeeds.

But I’m fine. 🙂 This city is not affected.

I’m a little nervous about our midweek plans to travel by car 🚘 between two major cities, but we’ve hired a private car and driver from a reputable business and will rely on their local knowledge and savvy to get us there safely.

Life exposes us to risks.

Divorce clashes occur.

The takeaways:

✅Get one-on-one help personalized for your situation. (Don’t take the bus.)
✅Hire a trained, experienced divorce guide.
✅Check reviews and references to ensure it’s a reputable business.
✅Trust your guide—it’s your first time, but they’ve traveled this road many times before.

If you need a divorce guide — AND you love travel 🌎 — we might just click.

I’d love to chat in a complimentary consultation.

“I’m more hopeful,” says my new client after our first session.

Which makes me grin. I’ve done my job.

She’s still anxious about getting divorced, and the path forward is just starting to become clear, but MORE HOPE is available to her.

That’s my role as a financially focused divorce coach: I add HOPE into the equation.

A house of love?

Is that even possible, ever again?

If you are contemplating or in the middle of divorce, a loving household may seem like an unattainable dream.

On this Valentine’s Day, I give you hope that living in “a house of love” IS possible for you.

Someday soon, you WILL once again be surrounded by people you love and who love you.

And if you have children, one day you WILL have a good relationship with your co-parent. (Or at least it will be better!)

Choose to surround yourself in this trying time with people who lift you up, who provide encouragement when you need it most.

One by one, build your support system, find your tribe.

It’s my honor as a divorce coach to often be the first divorce professional my clients reach out to.

I have ❤️love❤️, training, specialized skills, and lived experience to share.

Excellent Internet access enabled 8 client Zooms and phone calls this week, plus one conversation with an interested client.

If you’re thinking your Best Life may include divorce — or perhaps separating into two households — reach out for a complimentary consultation, like she did.

No matter what time zone I’m in, I get out of bed each morning excited to problem-solve around this life transition, which is as financial as it is emotional.

I’ve got openings on my calendar the next two Tuesdays.

One day at a time. One step at a time.

That’s the divorce journey.

But you don’t have to—shouldn’t, really—walk it alone.

I’m a financially savvy divorce expert who walks beside you if:
🍎 Your biggest concerns are financial (as opposed to co-parenting, say)
🥑 You and your spouse can probably stay amicable in the process
🥕 You suspect your marital estate might be too complex to DIY a fair division of assets and debts (spoiler alert: if you own a home that one of you wants to keep and/or there are tax-advantaged retirement accounts, you’ve already crossed that threshold)

Your divorce settlement is far too important to get wrong.

Here’s to guidance in getting it right.

And happy Monday; you did it!

Divorce coaching is both an art and a science, and my ChatGPT “2025 Wrap” reflects this.

I got a trophy for “Most Likely to Turn Divorce Coaching into an Art Form,” AND was assigned the “Engineer” archetype for being a “Practical Specialist Planner.”

Apparently my use of this LLM tool this past year places me in the ~20% of users described as “Engineers.” This is driven by HOW I use ChatGPT in my practice: to develop SYSTEMS: workbooks, flow charts, and tables for my clients to help them analyze and solve for the practical problems of divorce and financial separation.

Yet I’m also acknowledged for being “warm” and “conversational” in addition to “strategic.” ChatGPT recognizes that I “balance professionalism with humor and emotional intelligence.” Because information should be delivered with empathy and context, I believe.

My confirmation bias is kicking in, and I think that sounds just like me!

My clients see this, too. This week, I got separate kudos: one email thanking me for my “knowledge and skill,” and another for helping a less financially savvy spouse feel “empowered to have the tough conversations.”

Being a coach is a calling for me. It combines my superpowers, uniquely. I enter 2026 grateful for this way I can serve and grow.
