This made me laugh the first time I saw it

But the sad part is it’s actually a really uncomfortable truth for a lot of people

Most families inherit clutter

Not because their parents were lazy
Not because they didn’t care

Because the problem slowly grew bigger than their ability to deal with it

And by the time they realized how overwhelming it had become… they were completely stuck

A lot of my clients hire me for one reason alone
They refuse to pass the burden of their belongings onto their kids someday

They don’t want their children standing in a garage like this wondering where to even begin

Trying to grieve their loss, while also drowning in overwhelm

If this hits a little close to home-

Trust me, you’re not alone

And if you’re sitting there quietly shaming yourself thinking you should be able to figure it out on your own…

That’s not the truth either

Organizing and purging an entire home is a massive skill set

Even for professionals, it’s complex

Because it’s not just about stuff

It’s decision fatigue
It’s emotional attachment
It’s guilt
It’s memories
It’s overwhelm stacking on overwhelm until your brain just freezes

That freeze response?
That avoidance?

That’s actually extremely common

Most people aren’t lazy
They’re buried

And when you’re buried inside the problem, it’s almost impossible to see the path out

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do… is stop trying to tackle it alone

If you need a hand getting started, I’m here

No judgment. Just help.

Let’s talk about what disorganization is actually costing you.

Not in theory…but in dollars.

How often are you eating out because your kitchen feels chaotic?

Not because you can’t cook but because you don’t want to deal with it.

Let’s say that’s an extra $40, twice a week.
That’s over $4,000 a year.

Now add this:
You leave the house more because it feels better than being home.
Coffee runs.
Target trips.
Little “we deserve this” activities.

Retail therapy to feel in control for five minutes.

And then there’s the stress.

When your environment is overstimulating, your nervous system stays on edge.

You’re more impulsive.
More tired.
Less consistent.

You grab convenience food.
You skip workouts.
You cope instead of plan.

Clutter isn’t just visual, it drives behavior.

So when someone says, “Organizing is expensive,” I always wonder…

Compared to what?
Compared to the thousands leaking out quietly every year?

You’re not avoiding an expense.
You’re funding the chaos.

Every month you delay investing in a solution,
you pay for it anyway.

Just not intentionally.

How many minutes of your life have you wasted looking for things?

Your house shouldn’t feel like a scavenger hunt

What created this is Category Chaos

When food lives in three different cabinets.

When snacks are in the pantry, baking items are above the fridge, and “extra” boxes are in the laundry room.

When cleaning supplies are under every sink, in the garage, in a random hallway closet.

Your brain has to scan.
And scan.
And scan again.

Here’s the psychology behind it.

Your brain craves predictability. It loves knowing, “All of this category lives here.” That creates what’s called a mental map. When categories are scattered, your brain has to work harder to locate, confirm, and decide.

It’s decision fatigue in disguise.

When all food lives in the pantry, your brain relaxes.

When all laundry products live together, you stop second-guessing where the stain remover is.

When batteries, lightbulbs, paper towels, and cleaners each have one home, you eliminate micro stressors you didn’t even realize were stacking up.

And those micro stressors matter.

Because scattered categories create:
• Rebuying things you already own
• Overbuying “just in case”
• Half-used products hiding in corners
• Exhaustion and Fatigue

It’s not that you’re disorganized.

It’s that your systems are fragmented.

In this pantry + laundry combo, the biggest shift wasn’t just making it pretty.

It was consolidating.

All food in one clear zone.
All backstock in another
All laundry supplies together.
All cleaning products categorized intentionally.

One category. One home.

Your brain can finally exhale.

And when your brain exhales, your nervous system follows.

Valentine’s Day is all about love & that includes loving the space you live in.

Flowers die. 🥀 Chocolates disappear. 🍫 But the clutter sticks around and quietly drives you insane.

This Valentine’s Day give yourself, or someone you love, the gift of calm. A gift that actually lasts and a home that feels lighter and easier to live in.

This year has been such an incredible year for my organizing business

From the birth of my business at the very end of 2024

I am celebrating:

🔥 15 clients

🔥 61 organizing sessions

🔥 Many 5 star reviews that touched my heart and reminded me why my work matters

🔥 Freshly transformed: Master Closets, anything closets, kitchens, pantries, children bedrooms, playrooms, craft rooms, garages, sheds, laundry rooms, living rooms and dining rooms

🔥 A full and growing schedule with room for what’s next

But beyond the numbers and practicalities…

I’m most proud of:

✨ Connecting deeply with clients and being able to offer them normalization of things they have felt so alone in

✨ Supporting an incredible mom in being able to give her little girl back her bedroom

✨ Helping an incredible older woman start to take back her life and her quest of refusing to leave her overwhelming amount of stuff to her children when she passes

✨ Watching my clients being able to have hope, and excitement again around their homes and finally find relief

I want to thank every person who trusted me with their space this year

I want to thank the people that supported my growth and my learning in this field

Cheers to a brand new year of transformed lives and spaces in 2026 🥂

Don’t start with the hardest spot. Start small.

A single drawer or one shelf.

Every “small win” adds momentum to keep going.
