Reading VT Volunteer Fire & Rescue

On Wednesday, October 14, Reading Fire & Rescue completed our annual AHA CPR refresher training. Our team practiced essential life-saving skills, including adult, pediatric, and infant CPR, as well as proper AED usage through a mix of lectures and hands-on manikin practice. We also reviewed protocols for managing obstructed airways for both conscious and unresponsive patients, incorporating the latest updated procedures. We remain committed to keeping our skills sharp to best serve our community.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our instructor, Alan Beebe, for providing such a knowledgeable and engaging learning experience.

On Thursday, May 14, Reading Fire & Rescue hosted a “Firefighters Appreciation Supper” at the Elks Club in Windsor. Guests included officers from the Windsor, West Windsor, and Weathersfield Fire Departments, as well as members of the Reading Selectboard. Chief Vittum also handed out “length of service” awards to Reading Fire & Rescue personnel.
We would like to thank the Elks for the great supper!
