Young players are way way too mechanical. They understand the basic skills like blocking, receiving, and throwing, but they lack explanations that help them understand the purpose behind these skills. There’s a fundamental simplicity to athletic movement that often gets overlooked. When you understand how something works, you should be able to break it down to its most practical form.
