It is with sad and heavy hearts to share that our fire chief, Steve Peal, went home to be with the Lord today. May you rest in peace our faithful friend.

Sending our condolences and prayers to our Brothers and Sisters of the PCSO on the passing of K9 Crash.

It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of K9 Crash. Crash served the Patrick County Sheriff's Office honorably for five years. He served the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office for two years prior to coming to us.

Throughout his career, Crash was relentless in the pursuit of fleeing felons. He is credited with dozens of criminal apprehensions. The unconditional love shown for his handler, Senior Deputy Dustin Dillon and his family, and to all of our deputies, will never be forgotten.

There is no greater loyalty than that of a dog.

You served us well Crash, we will always love you.
