SUBJECT: NYVIP3 IMPLEMENTATION
**PLEASE PRINT A COPY OF THIS MESSAGE AND DELIVER IT TO THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR VEHICLE INSPECTION EQUIPMENT**
The NYVIP3 Inspection Program began December 1, 2023. Nearly 11,000 stations have performed
approximately 15,000,000 inspections to date. Although this is a significant accomplishment for such a large-scale implementation, it did not come without challenges.
In consideration of the difficulties and challenges that this implementation brought, DMV has requested
Opus pay-out to the test stations a total of $500,000.
This pay-out will be credited to your Opus account proportionally based on your individual test volume
from December 1, 2023, to July 16, 2024. The following is an example of a payout based on your inspection volume during this period.

Total Inspections performed by all stations = 7,665,926
Total Inspections performed by station = 145
Percentage of inspection = 0.002%
Percentage of $500,000.00 = 0.002 %
The credit to your Opus Account = $ 9.46
These credits will be applied to your account by December 13, 2024. If you have an outstanding balance, this credit will be applied to your account balance. When ordering consumables or parts, our helpdesk personnel will make sure your credits are applied.
