What would it mean for your bottom line if 7 in 10 employees were only half invested in their work?

That's not a hypothetical. It's close to where most organizations are right now.

Gallup's 2026 State of the Global Workplace report puts the global cost of disengagement at roughly $10 trillion in lost productivity last year. And in the U.S. and Canada, only 31% of employees are fully engaged.

The challenge is that disengagement rarely announces itself.

Most employees don't quit dramatically. They drift.

→ They complete tasks without investing in outcomes
→ They stop volunteering ideas
→ They start taking recruiters' calls

By the time it shows up in your turnover data, the real loss has already happened.

Omnia's 2026 Talent Trends data reflects this shift. More than 36% of organizations reported increased turnover year over year — nearly double the 2025 rate.

But here's what the data also shows: engagement is buildable, and the return is measurable across nearly every dimension of organizational health.

In this week's blog, Alaina Sims lays out the business case for investing in your people and where to focus first.

If you've ever had to defend an engagement initiative, this one's for you.

Working sessions are always better when they happen around the same table.

Today, we're taking time to connect, collaborate, and think creatively about how we can continue helping organizations make sound talent decisions and build cultures where people thrive.

Good ideas. Great conversations. Even better people.

Some people seem to have their careers figured out.

Most of us are just making the best decision we can with the information we have.

The difference?

Knowing your strengths gives you a much better starting point.

Your strengths won’t tell you exactly where to go.

But they’ll help you stop walking in the wrong direction.

Is your engagement strategy built on trust or just activity?

Most organizations are doing more. More one-on-ones. More surveys. More check-ins. According to our 2026 Talent Trends data, 57.1% of organizations now run employee satisfaction surveys, up from 49.4% the previous year. One-on-one meetings are up too. Effort is increasing across the board.

But effort alone isn't moving the needle.

Our findings show that engagement is no longer dependent on perks or programs. Employees are watching whether leaders listen, act on feedback, and follow through consistently. Without that trust, even the most active engagement initiatives fall flat.

The good news? Understanding what drives each person on your team is a strategic advantage. Behavioral data helps leaders show up in ways that actually resonate.

🌟Client Spotlight: PrimeGroup Insurance
A Partnership Built on More Than Business

Some client relationships are transactional. And then there are the ones that just feel different.

PrimeGroup Insurance Services, Inc has been an Omnia client since 2019, and over those seven-plus years, they’ve become something more than a client. They’re a genuine partner and a cornerstone of our Tampa Bay community. Built on a foundation of trust, collaboration, integrity, and passion (yes, those are their core values, and they live them), PrimeGroup has been there for Omnia in ways that go well beyond a service agreement.

They’ve shown up at our marketing events. They’ve cheered on our milestones. They’ve shared our thought leadership and content within their own network. That kind of support is rare, and we don’t take it for granted.

And here’s a fun twist: Omnia is also a PrimeGroup client. So when we say this partnership is mutual, we mean it literally.

We’re proud to recognize three people who have made this relationship what it is: Edward Ellsasser, CEO; Andrew Aubery, CIC, AAI, ARM, Agency Vice President; and Kimberly Birks, our dedicated insurance consultant. Ed, Andrew, and Kimberly have brought the kind of attentiveness and care to our account that makes you feel like you’re their only client. That’s not easy to do, and it’s exactly what makes PrimeGroup special.

We also want to congratulate the entire PrimeGroup team on their exciting next chapter, joining forces with Hilb Group, one of the top 25 insurance brokers in the nation. This move expands their capabilities across more than 30 specialty industries while keeping the local, relationship-first service their clients know and trust. It’s a big deal, and it’s well-deserved.

Here’s to many more years of partnership and to a team that truly walks their talk.

Why is workplace conflict so hard to resolve when you're the one in the middle of it?

HR leaders know this scenario well.

Two department heads fighting over budget. Sales and Account Service in a standoff. A VP who feels undermined by a peer. And HR is asked to walk in and somehow help.

The conflict itself is rarely the real problem.

It's that the people involved don't understand why they react the way they do, and no one has given them the language to talk about it clearly.

When leaders can see their differences through a behavioral lens, they stop taking each other's styles personally.

The VP who skims every report isn't being dismissive.
The director who needs more time isn't being obstructionist.
They're wired differently, and neither has adjusted for the other.

Leave that unresolved, and it ripples.

→ People choose sides
→ Information stops flowing
→ High performers start quietly weighing their options

In this week’s blog, Keather Snyder breaks down how HR leaders can facilitate conflict resolution at the leadership level, and why having behavioral data in the room changes the entire dynamic.

No pressure, but…

When was the last time you checked in with yourself instead of your to-do list?

A mid-year reset isn’t about setting bigger goals.

It’s about making sure you’re heading somewhere that actually feels right for you.

Save this for your next overthinking session. ✨

Is AI exposing a people problem you haven't named yet?

Most leaders expect the technology to be the hard part. It rarely is.

What AI is actually surfacing: the hire that never quite fit, the manager running on empty, the culture that looked fine until it didn't.

Next month, we're sitting down with Keather Snyder, our President & COO, and Tonya DeVane, our VP of Customer Success, for the Podcast edition of Take Away Tuesday. Between them, they bring decades of experience helping organizations understand why people thrive and why they don't.

No slides. No script. Just a real conversation worth having.
