Management log, Oct 24: HALLOWEEN PROTOCOLS INITIATED. 🎃
I have completed a full inspection of this year’s costume inventory and approved exactly one (1) headband. The cape is under review. The tutu has been rejected with prejudice.
Visiting pups: table signs are going up this week — snap your pup’s photo and tag Cougar's W**edog Cilie, and yours truly may feature you. Costumes strongly encouraged between now and the 31st. I will personally judge every single one. 👻
This weekend: Friday: live 5–8 PM — warm reds, full house, rain plan on standby. 🍂 Saturday: trivia with JK Trivia, 5:30–8 PM. Sunday: Paula Warren Arlich on the keys, 2–5 PM. 🎹

Management log, Oct 17: WIND PROTOCOLS ACTIVATED. 💨
Santa Ana’s doing zoomies through the vineyard, so the umbrellas are DOWN (no flying furniture on my watch), the water bowls are full, and everything that isn’t nailed down is... nailed down.
Friday night’s Brad Smith set survived the gusts — the man played through it like a pro. 🎸 Tonight: trivia with JK Trivia, 5:30–8 PM — hold onto your scorecards, pups. Tomorrow: David Maldonado 2–5 PM, and the wind finally takes a nap.
Humans: breezy day, still drink your water. I take the shaded corner. 🦴

• Bratwurst security: inadequate. I confiscated several.
• Stein-hoisting: humans are bad at sharing.
• Dirndls: 10/10, would sniff again.

**Today’s topic: Humans who come home smelling like ANOTHER DOG.** 😳🐶

You leave the house.
You come back.
And you smell like… **someone else.**

Of course I noticed.

I have questions.

Who is this dog?
How long did you pet them?
Were they a good dog?
Did you tell THEM they were a good dog?? 🤨

And most importantly… **were treats involved?**

**Cilie’s advice:** If you’re going to come home smelling like another dog, bring snacks and be prepared to explain yourself.

The food arrives. It smells amazing. It’s ready to eat.

And instead of EATING IT… you take 14 pictures of it.

Todd the hairless (but surprisingly soft and fuzzy!) cat stopped by the w**ery today. 😻🍷

Have you ever met—or petted—a hairless cat? I had questions. Mainly… do hairless cats chase hairless mice? What about hairless birds? 😂

Either way, Todd fit right in. Around here, you definitely don’t have to be a dog to be part of w**ery life. 🐾🍇
