Brothers and Sisters,
Many of you have already heard about the difficult situation Brother Daniel Lindberg and his family are currently facing.
For those who may not know, Daniel and his wife Alia are preparing for the birth of their son, Everett, who has been diagnosed with a severe and life-threatening congenital heart defect.
Everett’s two main arteries leaving the heart developed incorrectly and are essentially switched, creating a condition where poorly oxygenated blood is circulated through the body instead of properly through the lungs. After birth, Everett will require open heart surgery within the first few days to weeks of life in order to survive.
Depending on his condition at birth, additional emergency procedures may also be necessary.
Because of the specialized medical care required, Daniel and his family will be relocating to Phoenix for the birth and Everett’s treatment.
Along with the emotional toll this situation carries, significant time away from work will be necessary while they navigate surgeries, hospital stays, and ongoing medical appointments during this already high-risk pregnancy.
We ask that everyone keep Daniel, Alia, Everett, and their three daughters in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
For those who are able and willing to help, a PL/LV donation agreement has been established.
Donation forms for 2026 PL/LV days are now available in both shanty's and the crew room.
Unfortunately, previously banked days cannot be donated.
Completed forms can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped in the union box at the yard office.
⏳ Deadline to return donation forms: 5/26/26
If you would prefer to help financially, donations can also be sent directly to Daniel through Zelle using:

In moments like this, we are reminded that our union is more than a workplace organization — it is a brotherhood and sisterhood that stands together when one of our own needs help the most.
Any support, whether through prayers, donated days, or financial assistance, is deeply appreciated.
Please continue to keep the Lindberg family in your thoughts.
