❤️ Sometimes Life Doesn't Go According to Plan ❤️

A little over a week ago, I was celebrating another birthday.

I was grateful.
I was excited.
I was looking forward to everything I had planned for my birthday and anniversary season.

Then life threw me a curveball.

The very next week, I found myself on crutches.

Needless to say, that wasn't on my birthday wish list. 😊

Not only was I dealing with an injury, but I also had to postpone the kickoff plans I had prepared for my Birthday & Anniversary Specials.

I was disappointed.

But one thing marriage has taught me over the years is that life doesn't stop being beautiful just because it doesn't go according to plan.

Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated another wedding anniversary.

Was it the celebration we originally envisioned?

No.

But it was still special.

As I looked at the sweet card he gave me and laughed about the beautiful cowboy boots he bought me that now have to be returned (because apparently these calves are committed to being strong no matter what size I am 😂), I found myself focusing on what truly mattered.

Not the injury.

Not the inconvenience.

Not the disappointment.

But the love.

The commitment.

The friendship.

The memories.

The life we have built together.

Sometimes we spend so much time waiting for perfect moments that we miss the beauty of the moments we actually have.

This week reminded me that gratitude is a choice.

I can focus on what went wrong.

Or I can thank God for what went right.

And what went right is pretty incredible.

Another birthday.

Another anniversary.

Another year together.

Another opportunity to love and be loved.

As I continue celebrating this season, I am reminded that life is precious.

Love your people.

Celebrate your moments.

Take the pictures.

Enjoy the laughter.

Give thanks.

Because tomorrow is never promised.

And if life has taught me anything this week, it's that sometimes the most meaningful memories come from the moments we never planned.

Meeting expectations.

Managing responsibilities across work, home, and everything in between.

You make decisions.

You solve problems.

You carry weight that most people don’t even realize is there.

And because you do it well…

No one really asks if it’s heavy.

But it is.

Not in a way that stops you.

Just in a way that stays with you.

The constant thinking.

The responsibility.

The pressure to show up fully in every role you carry.

And if you’re honest, there aren’t many spaces where you can say that out loud.

Where you can talk about leadership, family, faith, and the realities of carrying so much—without needing to have a polished answer.

So you keep moving.

Keep leading.

But even strong women need space.

Space to process.

Space to be honest.

Space to not have it all figured out.

That’s why I created this space.

A place for women who lead, who carry, who build…

and who need real conversation, not performance.

March has a beautiful way of reminding us how powerful women are when we connect. 💬
Not just at conferences or events…
But in everyday conversations.
In the messages that say, “Can I be honest?”
In the moments when we admit leadership is rewarding—but also challenging.
In the safe spaces where women can talk about faith, marriage, family, and purpose without pressure.
Because the truth is, many women are leading in multiple spaces at once.
Leading in their homes.
Leading in their communities.
Leading in their careers and ministries.
And sometimes… we simply need a place to talk about it.
So I created a group chat for women who are navigating leadership, faith, family, and purpose.
Inside the chat we talk about:

This isn’t about perfection.

🗣March is Women’s History Month, and while we celebrate the achievements of women, many women in leadership today are also carrying a lot. Alot😭💔

We are leading teams.
Serving our communities.
Supporting families.
Navigating uncertainty in the world around us.

Between global tension, economic pressures, and the everyday demands of leadership and marriage, many women are asking a quiet question:

“Where do I go to breathe?”

That question inspired this gathering.

On March 29 at 7:00 PM, I’m creating a space called “Enter the Group Chat.”

A reflective community conversation for women in leadership who are married and seeking rest, clarity, and wholeness. This is not another meeting where you have to perform or present.

It’s a space to:

✨ Pause and breathe
✨ Connect with like-minded women
✨ Share honestly about leadership and marriage
✨ Gain perspective and clarity
✨ Be reminded that you are not navigating this season alone

During a time when the world can feel heavy and leadership can feel isolating, community matters.
