When the Love is Gone, Don't Cheat. Just Leave.
You NEVER forget that pain of finding out your lover cheated.
Not every relationship is meant to last forever.
Sometimes people grow apart.
Sometimes feelings change.
Sometimes you simply reach the end of the road together.
And leaving may hurt. But betrayal hurts differently.
You can end a relationship without humiliating someone.
You can walk away without stripping your partner, or yourself, of dignity.
If there is a love worth saving, fight for it. Talk. Get help. Do the work.
But if you know in your heart that it's truly over, have the courage to say so before you begin an affair. There's a HUGE difference between "I'm sorry we're over", and "I'm sorry I betrayed you." One creates heartbreak. The other creates one of life's worst betrayals.
After 40+ years of matchmaking, I believe one of the greatest gifts you can give someone is an honest ending. Leave them with their dignity. And leave with yours.
Comment: DIGNITY if you believe people deserve an honest ending instead of a dishonest relationship.
