A large Westchester attic, one of the hottest weeks of the summer. Our crew ran the full sequence in that heat.
✔️ Contents come out first, stored items leave before any building material is touched
✔️ Affected material is identified; mold-damaged insulation gets removed, not cleaned in place
✔️ Insulation is removed and bagged inside containment before it leaves the attic
✔️ Framing is HEPA vacuumed, cleaned and scrubbed, then vacuumed and wiped down
Clean before you remove, and you're doing it twice. Skip the bagging, and you've moved the problem into the rest of the house.
And in New York, the job doesn't end when we say it's finished. This attic passed post-remediation verification by an independent licensed assessor, because state law says the company doing the remediation can't be the company signing off on it.
Remediation isn't a list of tasks. It's a sequence, and the order is the work.
