It's hard to believe we're down to the last two days of May.
I hope your month has been meaningful and impactful. For our family, it has been a month full of milestones, celebrations, and activities. With two graduates in the house, our calendar has been packed, and even now, we're still wrapping up a few events.
One of the most meaningful events I attended was the youth leaders' send-off for the graduating seniors. For many years, these faithful leaders have invested in the lives of young men, shepherding them from middle school through high school.
At their final youth group gathering, the leaders washed the graduates' feet and prayed over them. This beautiful act reflects what Jesus did when He washed His disciples' feet before the Last Supper. Jesus, the Teacher and Lord, humbled Himself to serve others and showed that true leadership is rooted in love, humility, and service. A big Thank you and shout out to Mr. Jones and Mr. Lin, and our youth pastor McNutt and Mrs. Stein for your support and encouragement.
As a parent, I was deeply moved watching this special ceremony .
Over the years, these leaders have poured countless hours into these young men through weekly gatherings, discipleship, retreats, church activities, and mission trips both locally and internationally. They have encouraged them to serve others by building homes for families in need, preparing meals, helping seniors, and putting the needs of others before their own.
The handprints on the wall symbolize more than just a graduating class. They represent lives that have been shaped, friendships that have been built, and a legacy that will remain long after these students move on to their next chapter.
My heart is full of gratitude for leaders who faithfully show up week after week, year after year, investing in the next generation. Thank you for being examples of Christ-like servant leadership and for helping these young men become men of character, faith, and compassion.
May God continue to guide and bless each graduate as they step into a new season of life.
