What if your power infrastructure could grow with your load — without replacing your generator?
That is the premise behind Generac's Modular Power System, or MPS. Rather than specifying a single large generator that must carry the full future load on day one, MPS allows facilities to begin with what they need today and add generator capacity as load grows — with units operating in parallel as a single synchronized system.
For data centers, this is significant. Instead of commissioning a 4 MW generator plant to serve a 1 MW current load, a facility can start with two 1 MW units in N+1, add a third as load reaches 2 MW, and continue scaling without infrastructure replacement.
MPS also eliminates the single point of failure inherent in any single-generator design. If one unit in a paralleled array goes offline for service or fails, the remaining units absorb the load — transparently, without transfer switch action.
Generac's Power Zone Pro Sync manages synchronization, load sharing, and automatic load shedding across the full array. The system operates as a seamless, redundant grid.
Wolverine Power Systems is Michigan's exclusive Generac Industrial Energy distributor. We design and install MPS configurations for data centers, healthcare systems, and large industrial facilities across all 83 Michigan counties.
