Who are we looking for?

We want experienced professionals who can do more than advise. You should be able to step into a client engagement, understand the need, build trusted relationships, and deliver excellent work.

We value consultants who are collaborative, dependable, culturally responsive, comfortable working independently, and able to represent Faithful Consulting professionally with our clients and partners.

5+ years of relevant professional experience is preferred. Advanced degrees, certifications, coaching credentials, assessment certifications, and other specialized expertise are welcomed but will depend on the type of work.

About the opportunities

These are 1099 independent contractor opportunities, not full-time employment positions. Engagements are project-based and offered according to client needs, project requirements, your expertise, availability, and fit.

We are building our consultant network on an ongoing basis, so there is no single application deadline. Some professionals may align with an immediate need, while others may be contacted as future projects and contracts become available.

Compensation starts at $60/hour and may vary depending on the engagement, level of expertise, responsibilities, project scope, and client contract.

The Improve Group is hosting an additional online focus group for BIPOC and Tribal early care and education providers as part of Minnesota’s ECE workforce study.

The purpose of the focus group is to hear directly from ECE providers about their experiences in the field, the conditions that influence whether people enter or remain in the workforce, and the resources and support providers need to grow and succeed. Participants’ perspectives will contribute to a broader understanding of Minnesota’s ECE workforce and help inform future decisions affecting providers, educators, children, and families.

Today gave me the kind of leadership reminder I needed.

Grateful for the wisdom and grounding from Rob Vischer, President of the University of St. Thomas.

A few things stayed with me, but this one especially:

Healthy accountability is when every person takes ownership in the culture.

That feels so true.

Accountability is not only what happens when something goes wrong. It is how people choose to show up when they understand they are part of shaping the environment around them.

Culture is not just what leaders say.

It is what people carry, protect, allow, challenge, and practice together.

Another reflection that stayed with me was the shift from asking:

What am I able to do?

to asking:

Who am I becoming?

That question landed deeply for me.

So much of life and work can become about performance, achievement, titles, degrees, goals, and proving ourselves. But meaningful work is also about whether we are becoming people who can carry responsibility with humility, courage, wisdom, and care.

That is also why Faithful Consulting exists.

We are mission-driven because we believe good work starts with good people. Not perfect people. Good people. People who are willing to learn, reflect, take ownership, lead with care, and help create cultures where goodness becomes contagious.

Today reminded me why this work still matters to me.

It reminded me why I continue to focus on leadership, culture, coaching, training, and organizational work. Not just to help organizations become more effective, but to help build people and cultures that are healthier, wiser, more accountable, and more human.

I left feeling rejuvenated.

Still learning.
Still growing.
Still becoming.
Still committed to building spaces where good people can do good work well.

We are especially interested in professionals who can step confidently into client environments, bring strong subject-matter expertise, build trusted relationships, and deliver high-quality work.

What we’re looking for:

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of our consulting areas
• Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a project team
• Experience working with diverse organizations, leaders, and communities

Spent a couple of hours volunteering at Merrick today for their backpack and food drive, and my heart was full.

People were happy to be there, happy to serve, and happy to do something good together. It was also great to see employees from Ecolab and Elements showing up for the community.

At Faithful Consulting, we believe our responsibility extends beyond the work we do for our clients. Part of being a good business is being a good community partner and using our time, resources, and influence to contribute where we can.

We spend a lot of time teaching people how to speak up.

We spend far less time examining **how organizations decide whose voice is worth hearing.**

That distinction matters.

My latest article looks at the science behind voice, culture, bias, executive presence, and what can happen when one communication style is treated as the standard for leadership.
