Casual Uncluttering LLC

Casual Uncluttering LLC Casual Uncluttering LLC I'm current with all COVID shots and boosters. I specialize in homes, homes offices and small offices.

I’m Lauren Williams, Certified Professional Organizer(R), Certified Virtual Organizing Professional(TM) and Casual Uncluttering is my company. I teach my clients to relax and enjoy the process and habits of organizing. I collaborate with you to create fun, creative, pleasant, and functional rooms and work areas in your homes, home offices and small businesses, for your hobbies, games, art collecti

ons, pots and pans, staff rooms, supply closets or inventory. I want my customers to laugh during this adventure. My clients gain the education they need, and will be pointed to the resources, to keep themselves organized even as their circumstances evolve over their lifetimes. The results will never be perfect, but they will be effective and satisfying. I provide on-site, virtual and phone check-in accountability options. I also offer an introduction to hoarding disorder for laypeople, not medical or support professionals. It is excellent meal-and-learn or Hot Topic material by Zoom, or in-person if I'm in driving distance. I'm delighted to develop this into a CE-eligible unit with guidance. The materials are customized by profession, and by location as possible. In addition, I provide Train the Trainer sessions, demonstrating basic organizing principles and teaching techniques to on-site helping professionals such as social workers, housing managers and case workers who can then transfer those skills to clients. These are also materials I am willing to develop into CE-eligible items with guidance. And then there's my Organizer on the Road Show, a basic how-to for people who want to declutter. It's a portable demonstration of an organizing session, to let anyone get familiar and comfortable with the process. It's a bag of items my clients and I often encounter in our sessions. Practical, educational and great fun, I have an excellent sense of humor, and I get my audience to laugh AND teach them some tips to help them deal with their stuff. Attendees learn organizing techniques, gain access to various reliable and qualified contractors, and are offered specialized instructional material I have compiled from numerous sources on an assortment of topics from "where do I donate___?" to "how do I decide how much is too much?" Please call me at 425-947-3976 or email me at [email protected] to discuss options.

So I've been deep-cleaning my house because my son is moving home after he graduates college (YAY MY KID!!!!!!!!!!!). Ugliest, most concentrated effort I've expended in I don't know how long - I took on the SPAGHETTI SAUCE ON MY KITCHEN CEILING!!!!!!!!! And ya know what? Even I'm getting the reminder, yup, "Sometimes, it's the storage, stupid." Nothing like having three of four of your kitchen drawers break off their runners while you're hoisting a rag to bring the message home. NOWHERE to collect spatulas, whisks, ladles, measuring cups and the unnaturally large eyeball thing (No, I don't remember, and no, I will NOT subject you to a photo) for days until the repairs. No spit-and-shine possible. And the disaster prevented me from testing a new insert I'd purchased, pre-earthquake, to replace one which was horribly aged and dysfunctional. Sigh.

Drawers are repaired, new insert in place and functional, decon resumed. But an inconvenient nuisance.

I LOVE IT. I LOVE IT SOOOOOOOO MUCH. I belong to the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD). ICD HAS A MASCOT. Charlie Dependable, a Build-A-Bear teddy bear. Read the whole story https://www.challengingdisorganization.org/meet-the-icd-mascot/.

I will always have a fondness for Build-A-Bear. My son's first gift from Santa was a build-day gift certificate. He made a dinosaur.

It's a good day when your client is on a direct path to a farmer's Market and she pushes her appointment back an hour so you ABSOLUTELY will have time to go.

I was checking Seattle ReCreative hours today because I wanted to make a donation run. EXCITING NEWS - quoting its website:

"Donations will be paused April 15 - May 4 for Major Warehouse Infrastructure Update:

We will be doing a major reorganization of our Georgetown donation intake and processing warehouse, this is another major step towards increasing our long-term donation intake volume. The only donation exception is for YARN-ONLY donations, we will still accept those.

I still remember how special this place is from the time my NAPO Washington State colleagues and I gave it a Day of Service.

Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center is looking for a part-time schooler 2-3 days per week to provide support to our herd of 33 therapy horses.

This is an hourly position, up to 15 hours per week, which can be split over 2–3 days, Monday through Friday on a mutually agreeable schedule.

Our herd is very diverse, with horses from a variety of training backgrounds. Each has individual needs that must be met by our team of schoolers.

We work as a team to support our horses, providing a supportive, professional, and kind environment for our community.

Come and be part of our team! A full position description, along with instructions on how to apply, can be found at littlebit.org/jobs.
