me vs ME - I DID IT 😭
I’ve pinned this hiking spot in my heart as a dream to one day fulfil maybe for a day when I am fitter , feel stronger and capable.
On the day of the hike the only thing that was present on the day was the self-belief, prayer and a friend who showered me with words of affirmations to remind me that I can and HAVE done hard things before.
This route was extremely challenging, I started with a high heart rate from the very beginning as the route starts from a never ending incline.
The elevation on this route is no joke!

My mama says it’s enough now, I’ve proved enough to myself lol (bless her soul) this is after I told her that at some point I thought of them and how they would have needed to hustle for a helicopter to come pick me up as I was filled with nerves that caused my body to shake and ultimately making it more dangerous to go down.

This is for me …a me that needs to always remember we how far her mind can take her. My body only followed the mission my mind set out (today I’m suffering the consequences and need the recovery room from )

To doing the things we said we would and FINISHING STRONG! 💪🏼

This is my first race post my foot injury (that I’m still healing from)
beautiful gloomy route and the best Yammiez on the road OBV! I love my community and so grateful for you guys!
I also pushed through an excruciating blister - here’s the thing about being on the road; you’re forced to be consistent and push despite the struggles!

10KM Run4Freedom Race DONE!
Let’s all remember slide 2 last year and how I cried at the finish line trying to make 1h45 for a cut off and this year I took it easy and walked the long way to freedom for Tata Madiba bandlaaaa and made it at an earlier time than last year with lil effort (my calves are on fire from the Paarl race) but being able to phola and not cry and still making it at a better time than last year is giving PROGRESS 🤪

This race needs a debrief coz running in Kasi is full of stories hahah why did one lady say “baleka tshongobuhle”🤣

Mandela died for this ke - somebody say AMAAANDAAALAAA
