One from last month: a custom indoor sauna in Tamboerskloof, built in Thermo Alder from the walls through to the benches.

Full frameless glass front, straight benches top and bottom with backrests and headrests on both, an electric heater with the controller mounted inside the cabin, and LED lighting set into the ceiling recess and the top bench. There is a small panoramic window too, so the view comes with you.

Thinking about one for your own home? Tell us where you would put it.

Another one from last month: an indoor sauna built in imported Canadian Hemlock, interior and benches both.

Warm white LED lighting runs through the backrests and the benches rather than overhead, so the light sits low and soft. There is a full floorboard, headrests and backrests, and a safety covering over the heater. The front is a big sheet of toughened clear glass, enclosed with a wooden louvre finish.

Hemlock or Alder for your own build? Tell us which way you lean.

Start at two minutes. That is genuinely it.

Our cold plunge pools sit between 7°C and 12°C, roughly a metre deep, with a 304 stainless steel interior and a choice of Red Cedar, Thermo Spruce or powder-coated steel on the outside. Begin at the warmer end for a couple of minutes and work down from there.

New to cold water? Ask us anything below, we would rather you started properly.

If you run a salon, you already know the maths: every extra piece of equipment costs you floor space.

Our HIGHS spa chairs handle manicure, pedicure, hand and foot care and shoulder massage from one station, with an automatic drainage valve and a dirt-resistant finish built for back-to-back appointments. CE certified, and customisable to suit your room.

Tell us what your treatment room looks like and we will tell you whether it fits.

Good news for anyone assuming a hot tub means a builder, a plumber and a new circuit: ours run off a standard 220/240V plug point on a 5m cord.

Inside there is a 2000W energy-efficient heater, a dual-speed hydro pump, three massage modes and a UV sterilisation system, wrapped in a moulded foam shell that keeps the heat in and the noise down.

Wondering what one would cost to run? Contact us and one of our sales reps will tell you everything you need to know!

We get asked this one a lot: "Is 7°C too cold for a beginner?"

Not at all. Our plunge pools range from 7°C to 12°C, so you can start where you're comfortable and work your way colder as you build tolerance. Available in timber-clad or stainless steel to match your space.

Got a plunge question of your own? Drop it below, and we'll answer it.

Did you know our HIGHS spa chairs come with an automatic drainage valve and full massage function built right in? Finished in trunk-inspired two-tone leather with custom rivet detailing, they're designed to look as good as they perform, day after day.

Ask us about it in the comments if you're curious how it would fit your space. Or visit our website to read more about it!

Fun Fact Friday: a good sauna isn't just about the heat inside, it's about what's happening outside it too.

Our latest build was positioned to make the most of its landscape, catching the right light at the right time of day, so the experience starts before you even step in. It's a small detail, but it changes everything about how a space feels.

We're always up to something new. If you've been dreaming about a build of your own, let's chat.

Spring is here, and so is the itch for a good reset. A sauna session, twenty minutes, no phone allowed. That's the whole tip. 😄
