Stay Aware When Arriving Home πŸš—πŸ”

Arriving home is one of the moments when people are often distracted or focused on getting inside quickly. A few simple habits can help improve awareness and reduce risk.

Helpful reminders when returning home:

β€’ Take a moment to check your surroundings before stopping or exiting your vehicle
β€’ Keep remotes, access tags, and keys ready before reaching your gate or driveway
β€’ Be aware of unfamiliar vehicles or individuals nearby
β€’ Avoid remaining outside longer than necessary once access has been gained
β€’ Ensure entrances and driveways are well lit at night
β€’ If something feels unusual, continue driving and contact security or a trusted person for assistance

Staying alert and prepared can make a significant difference in preventing opportunistic crime.

Dangerous Weapons Removed From Our Communities 🚨πŸ”ͺ

Every knife, machete, sharpened tool, and imitation firearm removed from circulation is one less potential threat on our streets.

Through ongoing proactive operations, the Compass Tactical team has recovered and removed a significant number of dangerous weapons and items that could potentially be used in robberies, assaults, intimidation, and violent crime.

Recovered items have included machetes, butcher knives, screwdrivers, sharpened steel rods, and imitation fi****ms. Many violent crimes are committed using ordinary tools and household items that have been repurposed into weapons.

Responsible disposal of dangerous items is an important part of community safety. Weapons, blades, and sharp tools should never be discarded carelessly where they can be recovered and misused.

Residents can assist by:
β€’ Safely securing or wrapping sharp items before disposal
β€’ Separating blades from handles where possible
β€’ Making use of approved disposal points or local authorities where available

At Compass Tactical, we believe crime prevention starts long before an arrest is made. Removing dangerous items from circulation helps reduce opportunities for violence and contributes toward safer communities for everyone.

Help Us Respond Quickly πŸ”

Suspicious activity does not always begin with a major incident. Small details or unusual behaviour are often the first signs that something may be wrong.

Reporting concerns early helps security teams assess situations faster, improve coordination, and respond before incidents escalate.

Even if something seems minor, timely reporting can help build a clearer picture of activity in the area and support a faster response.

Awareness and communication play an important role in safer communities.

Test Your Security Systems πŸ”

Your alarm and panic systems are only effective if they work when you need them.

Regular testing helps ensure everything is functioning correctly and that your response is immediate when it matters most.

Take a few moments to check:

β€’ Alarm systems are active and triggering correctly
β€’ Panic buttons are working and accessible
β€’ Linked response services are receiving signals
β€’ All users know how to activate the system

A quick test today can prevent a delay in a critical moment.
