When we say that the wall thickness of our pipes are made to suit your water needs, we're almost always talking about if you have lime in your water.

❗If you have lime in your water, that means that you will inevitably will have limescale, which is the killer of all dripline systems❗Limescale is the hard, chalky white deposit left behind when water containing dissolved calcium and lime evaporates.

Lime liquefies easily in very, very fine particles, meaning that it almost completely dissolves into water and is impossible to filter out. But lime dries up hard and chalky and blocks your dripline emitters over time - so that on a line, you can lose watering completely on whole plants.

If you have lime in your water, we HIGHLY recommend getting a disposable drip tape that you can replace season after season. If you get a more durable pipe, that pipe might last 5+ years, but your emitters will be so blocked that they'll become useless.

Please note: we don't officially recommend washing your dripline with any chemicals specifically for the purpose of getting rid of lime in your system, but we're always open to hear about experiments to see if your methods worked 💪
