Emily Moon River Lodge suite 3 🤩

So many incredible details in each suite! The butterflies are a firm favourite 🦋 And the views! the views are gorgeous!

If you’ve never been to Emily Moon, I strongly suggest you make a plan to go! Even their restaurant and bar are amazing.

It’s amazing how there’s always something new to film. I’ve never gotten a southern right feeding.

It looks so alien! It looks like she has glow sticks in her mouth 🤩

The footage is NOT in slow motion. The whales were genuinely moving that slowly while feeding.

An extraordinary encounter with nature in its rawest form.

Two orcas hunting a southern right whale and her calf off the coast of Plettenberg Bay.

Witnessing the sheer power of these apex predators, alongside a mother’s instinct to protect her calf, was something I’ll never forget. Mom and calf made it out alive

A rare glimpse into the dramatic realities of life beneath the ocean’s surface.

I did a full video with the ending on my YouTube channel https://youtu.be/--fK1bYuXBw?si=-Rb6jAqXOL1aRVi7

Emily Moon River Lodge, with sprawling views over the Bitou River in the late afternoon.

I loved photographing this place. It has so much character, and the details in every room… you can see how much thought and love has gone into it. I had to sneak Zella in for a quick view pic 🤍

Two days in a row with this beautiful Southern Right whale and her calf along the Plettenberg Bay coastline.

It’s been two years since I last had the chance to film Southern Right whales, so seeing these two has made me incredibly happy.

One of those reminders of just how special it is to live along this coastline.

A little glimpse into Eleven Plett 🤍

Mornings with coffee and views across the bay, to beautiful interiors, thoughtful details and the people who make it all happen behind the scenes.
