Allesverloren Wine Estate

Allesverloren Wine Estate Allesverloren Wine Estate has been under the custodianship of the Malan Family for over 150 years. Welcome to Allesverloren with 150 years of Malan's!

Allesverloren is the oldest wine estate in the Swartland, located in Riebeek-West along the slopes of the Kasteelberg. The name, Allesverloren, was registered in 1704 after the farm burnt down and although the name Allesverloren translates to 'all is lost', the Malan-family has indeed enjoyed a happy fate! In 1806 the first Port-styled wine was made on the farm for personal consumption, but the Ma

lan family, who acquired the farm in 1872, was the first to produce wine with the intent to sell. The Malan family still own and manage Allesverloren, with the 5th and 6th generation Malan's working together to ensure that the history remains of importance as the new generation steps in.

First day of spring. First day of Rosé season. 🌸🥂

And what better way to mark it than with the arrival of the Allesverloren Wine Estate Tinta Rosé 2026? Fresh, crisp and full of bright berry character, this is a bottle made for the season ahead - sunny afternoons, lunches that stretch a little longer and getting friends together around the table.

So there’s really only one thing left to do…Chill it. Pour it. Welcome spring. 🌸

That’s a wrap on Shiraz Week 😉. From Fanie’s Shiraz cocktail to opening the cellar and sharing a few very special bottles of the 1996 vintage with the world, this week reminded us exactly why Shiraz holds such a special place on this farm and in our hearts. Thank you to everyone who raised a glass with us this week 🍷.

Shiraz Week calls for something pretty special.

1996 was a remarkable year at Allesverloren Wine Estate. So remarkable, in fact, that the Shiraz produced that year earned Danie Malan the Diners Club SA Winemaker of the Year title in 1998.

Three decades later, we’re opening the cellar and releasing a limited number of these very special bottles. Deeply coloured and remarkably vibrant, with layers of raspberry, cassis, spice and liquorice that continue to evolve in the glass.

A 30-year-old Shiraz with a story behind it - and a little piece of Allesverloren Wine Estate history in every bottle. Visit www.allesverloren.co.za to shop online or visit our tasting room to experience our full range.

It’s Shiraz Week and Fanie is marking the occasion with an Allesverloren Wine Estate Shiraz cocktail🍷 His advice on how much Shiraz to add? Let’s just say Oupa would approve😅 The result? Something suspiciously close to a sangria - and it actually tastes incredible. Cheers to the weekend🙌

A sure sign that spring is just around the corner 🌱. After the stillness of winter, the vineyards are beginning to show the first signs of what’s to come. The vines are moving into their next phase and across the farm, you can feel that subtle shift from one season to the next.

It’s a small moment in the bigger picture but one we always look forward to seeing 😊.

Portuguese by heritage. Swartland by nature. Tinta Barocca has been part of the Allesverloren Wine Estate story for generations. Grown on the slopes of the Kasteelberg, our 2023 vintage shows just why this Portuguese variety has become such an important part of the estate.

Rich, full of character and with layers of warm spice, it’s a wine that brings a little bit of the Allesverloren Wine Estate story to every glass 🍷.
