Big news for hospitality. The Fair Work
Commission has handed down its 2025–26 Annual
Wage Review — and Award wages are set to rise from
1 July 2026.

Here’s what matters 👇

4.75% increase to Modern Award minimum wages with
a 6% increase for some entry‑level classifications
(including Level 1 roles under the Hospitality Industry
(General) Award & Restaurant Industry Award) — think
dishy’s, glassy’s) Applies from the first full pay period
on or after 1 July 2026.
This decision lands at a time when hospitality venues
are already navigating rising operating costs — so we’ll
continue advocating for balanced outcomes that
support both workers and the businesses that employ
them.

Think your pub serves SA’s Best Pub Burger? Now’s your chance to prove it.

Entries are officially open for the 2026 AHA|SA Pub Burger Challenge, proudly sponsored by Thomas Foods. Twelve finalists will battle it out in July 2026, cooking live in front of an expert judging panel for the ultimate bragging rights.

A fantastic turnout at the Malt Shovel Taphouse Adelaide for the Emerging Leaders Presentation and Networking event, proudly supported by Lion Beverages

We were privileged to hear from keynote speaker James Begley, CEO of Launchd and Co-owner of the Adelaide Lightning WNBL, who shared valuable insights on leadership, innovation, and growth.

Attendees also enjoyed an engaging presentation on 'Sociability' from Allan Dib, Head of Consumer Foresight & Commercial Sustainability at Lion.

The Emerging Leaders Network event brought together early-career and developing leaders for an afternoon of connection, collaboration, and professional development.
