SHE RISES SOUTH | OCTOBER CIRCLE GATHERING 🎀 Pink Ribbon Morning Tea

This October, our She Rises South Circle is turning pink 💗

We’re coming together for our monthly morning of connection, conversation and community, while raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and supporting life-saving breast cancer research.

Thursday 22nd October

Come along, grab a cuppa, meet some wonderful local women and spend the morning connecting over business, life and everything that happens in between.

This month, we’re asking everyone to wear pink and make a donation to our She Rises South Pink Ribbon fundraiser.

Whether you run a business, are building something of your own, have an idea quietly brewing, or simply want to be part of a supportive community of women, you are welcome in the Circle.

Our gatherings aren’t about pitching, polished introductions or handing out as many business cards as possible. They’re about genuine connection, sharing what we’re working through, supporting one another and growing together.

And this month, we get to use that little community of ours to do some good beyond the Circle too. 💗

There really is a ridiculous amount of juggling that comes with being a woman. Work, kids, partners, friendships, money, the house, our own health, everyone’s appointments, remembering it’s bloody book week next Tuesday and someone needs a costume 😂 tackling the school holidays…The list just seems to change depending on what stage of life we’re in.

And sometimes it just gets really overwhelming.

But I saw this quote and it made me think about just how bloody incredible women are and all the things we do.

We create things. We build things. We raise people. We care so deeply. We make a house a home and create businesses from our dining room table. The love we hold and the communities we bring together. We change direction when life doesn’t go to plan. Yes - We lose it at times, cry because it’s all too much, fall apart occasionally, but we always get back up - pull ourselves back together (sometimes with the help of the women around us) and keep finding our way forward. How amazing 🤩

I don’t want to preach that women can do it all, I actually think society needs a lot less of that. I mean that there is a hell of a lot more to a woman than how well we’re managing our to do list this week.

So if you’re like me and feeling like you’re barely keeping everything afloat at the moment, don’t mistake being overwhelmed for not being capable.

I want you to look back at everything you’ve already carried, created, loved, survived, changed and figured out along the way.

You’ve got more in you than you think. Keep going. You’ve got this - I’m your biggest cheerleader!

A lovely morning at She Rises South today!

Nat from Mindset Compass opened our circle with a grounding moment that gave us space to slow down and arrive. From there, we shared our check ins, talked about mindset and business, and had time to hear what members are needing right now.

The conversation also sparked ideas for more workshops, which we’re looking forward to exploring together.

Thank you to Nat for sharing her time and insight, and to everyone who came along and added something to the morning. These gatherings are shaped by the women in the room, and today was a beautiful reminder of that.

There is so much pressure on women to be everything, to everyone, all at once.

To build the business, care for the family, nurture our relationships, look after our health, keep the house together, stay connected, keep growing, and then make it all look effortless.

I know I often become so focused on the mountain ahead of me that I forget to notice the ground I’ve already covered. I see everything that still needs to be done, rather than recognising the small, brave steps I’m taking every day.

The thing is that mountains aren’t climbed in one enormous leap. They’re climbed in tiny steps. In sending the email. Making the phone call. Asking for help. Resting when your body needs it. Trying again after a difficult day. Choosing one small thing, to keep going, even when everything feels heavy.

Small steps may not always feel impressive, but they still move us forward, and together, they become something much bigger than we realise.

So this is a reminder for me, and perhaps for you too: stop measuring yourself only against the mountain.

Look back occasionally. You might be surprised by how far you’ve already come.

She Rises South is a women’s business networking circle, but probably not in the way you’re used to.

We believe business doesn’t exist separately from the rest of our lives. We bring our ideas and ambition, but we also bring motherhood, relationships, changing seasons, personal growth, spirituality and everything else shaping the women we are becoming.

This is a space for gentle business. Not less ambition, but growth that doesn’t ask us to exhaust ourselves or pretend we have it all together. It’s about sharing what we know, asking for support when we need it and genuinely backing one another as we rise within our small businesses and our lives.

Behind every business is a woman doing life, too.

We’re juggling families, relationships, health, finances, work, big ideas, changing seasons, self doubt and the never-ending question of what the heck we’re actually doing.

Some months we’re full of ideas and ready to take on the world. Other months, simply showing up is enough.

That’s what She Rises South is about. Not networking for the sake of networking. Not business cards and elevator pitches. Not pretending we’ve got it all together.

A space where we can talk about business AND life, because the truth is, they’re rarely separate.

A place to share what’s working, what isn’t, what we’re navigating and what we’re dreaming about. To learn from each other, encourage each other and remember that we don’t have to figure everything out on our own.

She Rises South is a space for women who are building businesses and lives in a way that feels aligned, sustainable and true to them.

This is not about hustle, pressure or pushing harder. It is about gentle business, feminine energy, softness, support and encouragement. A place where you can show up as you are, be honest about where you are at, and be met with understanding rather than comparison.

We are here to grow, but in a way that honours our energy, our seasons and our individuality. To celebrate wins, hold space for challenges, and remind each other that we do not have to do this alone.
