Our SNR class had an amazing time engaging with our community first responders! We learnt all about the roles that our first responders have in emergency situations. We wrote thank you notes and spoke to many amazing locals who keep us safe in both paid and volunteer roles.

- Did you know that fires account for less than 6% of the works that the Fire and Rescue team's around Cairns do? Much of the work they do in our beautiful area is rescuing hikers who are suffering from heat stroke! Stay hydrated everyone...

We have a variety of flexible options to cater for your educational needs.

One-to-one tutoring: In-person, hourly sessions, this option is designed for homeschooling/mainstream schooling students who want targeted improvement in a particular area (speech, reading, decoding, mathematics etc.)

Small group tutoring:
Full membership - Online or in-person, this option is designed for home schooling/distance education students to access comprehensive lessons, explicit teacher, member-exclusive online classroom access, qualified teacher feedback and community event access.
Basic membership - Online, this option is designed for students and parents who have an established educational plan/mainstream schooling and would benefit from access to basic supplementary resources on our member-exclusive online classroom.

Why is learning about persuasive devices important?

Understanding language of persuasion empowers us through effective expression and communication with others. However, equally as critical is the ability to perceive how others may be using persuasion to alter our opinions. Our SNR class is well on it's way to understanding how persuasion shapes our community.

One of my favourite parts about teaching is finding a way to incorporate their passions into curriculum.

Here's the start of Indie's 'bee-hive' artwork. After our numeracy session, she planned the artwork design then calculated the perimeter of each section.

So very clever...
