The IBI Awards are now open. They are costly so for those who are determined to make a splash in these New York run awards. There's a huge number of categories in hair and make up. Last year's standard was not great, to be honest so high quality entries are in with a chance.

The International Beauty Industry Awards is an artist-funded platform founded on the belief that inclusivity and accessibility matter. That is why your work is submitted and judged entirely online.

If you fancy the idea of putting a hair show on in London, the International Visionary Award is for you! It's part of the Alternative Hair Show held in October. It costs £50 and deadline is 4th August. If you win a spot you'll join a prestigious list of hairdressers who have presented Australia. Here are the deets:

Well the awards period is really gearing up and it just occurred to me the I've been an awards submissions consultant for 18 years and including awards management as well, it's a total of 22 years! I've seen many variations of the awards requirements and have soldiered through them all. Gee I must love the hairdressing industry! Mwah!!
