Hi peeps ❤️

I’m feeling very full after spending this week in Lismore with some truly amazing people and practitioners who are working hard to promote better outcomes for families experiencing family, domestic and sexual violence.

Over four days of Safe and Together CORE training, we yarned, learned, challenged our thinking and explored practical ways to strengthen FDSV practice through a First Nations lens.

Practitioners walked away feeling better equipped with practical tools and a framework to:

🌿 improve safety for children and strengthen family functioning
🌿 keep perpetrators of harm visible and accountable
🌿 recognise and identify the strengths, protective efforts and resilience of survivors
🌿 bring a perpetrator pattern-based approach into everyday practice.

It was such a privilege to spend time with practitioners who are committed to doing this work differently and creating better outcomes for children and families.

Thank you Lismore for welcoming this Little Boomerang. 🥰

Hi peeps! 🥰
I’ve been in lockdown mode since attending the annual Writers Festival in Byron Bay — and by lockdown, I mean writing, writing and more writing! ✍🏽📖
The festival really lit a fire in my belly, and I’ve been busy putting pen to paper and capturing some of the stories, experiences and reflections from my journey so far.
But… I’m back now and ready to hit the road again real soon! 🚐💨

Day 3 — and that’s a wrap on the Byron Bay Writers Festival! ✍🏽📚
My cup was full yesterday… and today my brain is officially FULL! 😂
What an incredible festival experience. Three days of inspiration, learning, storytelling, connection and being surrounded by people who love words as much as I do.
I pinky promise I’ll be back next year — and I’m making another promise to myself: within the next 12 months, I will have my first book published. ✍🏽❤️
I can feel it… my book is ready. It’s been waiting patiently, and I reckon it’s time for it to take its place in this world.
A huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers and to the Byron Bay community for hosting such a fabulous event — 30 years strong! What a celebration of writers, stories and the power of words.

Day 2 at the Byron Writers Festival ✍️❤️
Day 2 at the Byron Writers Festival and my cup is absolutely FULL!
So excited to listen to Tasma Walton speaking about her book, and even more excited to have the chance to yarn with her afterwards. We went to school together in Geraldton many moons ago, so it was pretty special reconnecting through our shared love of storytelling and writing.
Today has left me inspired, energised and dreaming big.
All I want to do now is WRITE! ✍🏽📚
Who knows… maybe this time next year I’ll be the one up there talking about my book! 😂❤️¹

After 12 long months of planning, dreaming and waiting, the day has finally arrived! 📚✍️
I’m so stoked to be at the annual Writers Festival with my sis, soaking up all the inspiration and learning more about the world of self-publishing.
Who knows… this time next year I might be the one doing the book signings! 😂📖
Dream big, write it down and make it happen! ❤️

I’m really excited to announce that I’ll be heading to Hobart, Tasmania, to deliver Safe and Together CORE Training through a First Nations lens.

This is a great opportunity for practitioners and organisations to build their understanding, strengthen practice and explore how the Safe and Together approach can be applied in culturally responsive ways.
