A brilliant piece of Bathurst history 🏁

Up for auction is this signed Official 1969 Hardie-Ferodo 500 Race Program, featuring signatures from Australian motorsport legends Harry Firth and Colin Bond.

Held at Mount Panorama, Bathurst, the 1969 Hardie-Ferodo 500 marked a major moment in Australian touring car history, with Colin Bond taking victory in a Holden Monaro after being recruited by Harry Firth to the newly formed Holden Dealer Team.

Harry “The Fox” Firth was one of Australia’s great racing minds — a driver, engineer and team manager whose influence helped shape Ford’s works team and the legendary HDT era. Colin Bond went on to become one of Australia’s most versatile drivers, with success across Bathurst, rallying and touring cars.

This original program measures approx. 21cm x 27cm, features bold colour throughout and presents in great condition for its age.

A must-have collectible for Bathurst, Holden Dealer Team and Australian motorsport enthusiasts.

Born from a moment that changed railway history.

After the 1891 Great Kipton Train Wreck, Webb C. Ball helped introduce strict railroad watch standards that transformed safety across American railways. Ball watches became trusted instruments for railway workers, built on precision, reliability and timing when seconds truly mattered.

Now online are two modern Ball timepieces carrying that legacy forward: the Ball Fireman Racer Automatic 40mm Watch, model NM2088C-PJ-BKWH, and the Ball Engineer III Marvelight Chronometer 40mm Automatic Watch, Limited Edition, model NM9036C-S1C-BK.

Australian WWII Five Shilling Internment Camp Coin

A rare and historically significant wartime token, produced for use in Australian civilian and POW internment camp canteens during World War II.

These non-legal tender tokens were introduced to stop inmates from using Australian currency to bribe guards or finance escapes. At the end of the war, the Commonwealth Bank redeemed the tokens for legal tender, before the military ordered the majority to be melted down and destroyed.

Around 34,643 five shilling tokens were produced, with approximately 33,898 destroyed. Today, only an estimated 50 to 100 examples are believed to survive.
