Leica M3 with collapsible Summicron 50mm f/2 (1954). The camera that established Leica’s M system, offered with its grip, leather case, manual and box.

Hasselblad 500C/M kit with Zeiss Planar 80mm f/2.8 and Sonnar 150mm f/4 (1970). Terry O’Neill used a 500C/M for his celebrated portrait of Faye Dunaway.

Nikon S3 rangefinder kit (1958). Near mint, with a lens for each of its three finder frames plus additional finders and Nikon cases.

It's not every day a piece of an actual V8 Supercar comes up for auction.

This race-used front bonnet grille from Triple Eight Race Engineering has been signed by two of Australian motorsport's biggest names: Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup.

The grille is presented in a large 98cm-wide display frame, surrounded by five photographs and a commemorative plaque. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity.

A truly special piece of Australian touring car history for the man cave.

There aren't too many people in Australian history quite as controversial as Sir John Kerr.

You'll know the story - how, on 11 November 1975, the then Governor-General dismissed Prime Minister Gough Whitlam, triggering one of the biggest political controversies in Australian history. More than 50 years later, we're still talking about it.

Now, an interesting piece of that era has come up for auction at EHVA.

It's a vintage photograph featuring Sir John Kerr and his wife Anne alongside Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, signed by both John and Anne Kerr beneath their respective images.

What do you do when you've painted something so big it won't fit through the studio door?

If you're Australian artist Arthur Boyd, apparently you get the chainsaw.

That's the story behind 'Riverbank with Rocks', the monumental landscape Boyd created in his Bundanon studio in 1984. The original became the basis for the enormous tapestry that now hangs in the Great Hall of Australia's Parliament House in Canberra.

According to the story, Boyd had to cut a tall, narrow opening in his studio wall just to get the painting out.

A vintage print after this remarkable artwork is now up for auction at EHVA, beautifully framed and dating to around the opening of the new Parliament House in 1988.
