Come and visit us at the ‘Deadly in Geelong’ Expo at Crowne Plaza Geelong today. We have a stall here from 9am - 2pm. Learn more about what our team do at Wanyaari and Wadamba, and how we can support mob, individuals and organisations. And grab one of our goodie bags that Jas and the Wadamba made up especially for you!

“Deadly in Geelong is a dedicated business showcase bringing together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses operating in and around the Geelong region.

The event creates meaningful, face to face engagement with Aboriginal businesses presenting their stories, products and services connecting directly with corporate and government organisations in the region.”

Wanyaari is proud to have partnered with County Court on the development of its first Self-Determination Cultural Change Plan.

This important piece of work was shaped with Elders, community, Judges, leadership and staff, helping to create a shared vision for embedding self-determination, cultural safety and meaningful change across the Court.

This afternoon Ricky attended the launch of their Self-Determination Cultural Change Plan.

Special thanks to Carla, Kyeema and Dixon for their contributions to this piece of work. As well as the Elders, Aboriginal staff, Koorie Justice CAUCUS, Self-Determination Working Group and all of the amazing supportive people at the County Court.

TAC’s First Nations Leadership Team invited Wanyaari to hold space for a Truth-Telling session for staff during their Reconciliation Week series of events. Practicing deep listening, learning about Aboriginal Australia’s true history. Realising that ‘being comfortable with being uncomfortable’ creates change.
