Everyone seems to be hiring AI agents at the moment.

And look, they can be incredibly useful. I have one to manage my inbox. But if you’re not quite ready to hand your precious business over to one, human help is still very much available.

Sometimes you just want to explain the job to an actual person who understands what you mean, gets on with it and lets you know when it’s done.

Website updates, Shopify jobs, emails, admin, Canva graphics, forms, bookings, online research… all the little digital tasks that are the bane of your existence.

So yes, you could probably do it yourself.

But how’s that working out?

Still using AI to ask the odd question and rewrite an email?
Yeah, we need to talk. 🫠

AI has moved so far beyond that, and I think a lot of business owners have absolutely no idea just how much of their everyday workload it could be helping with.

Think about the things you do manually because that’s just how you’ve always done them. Sorting information, working with spreadsheets, researching something, replying to the same types of emails, pulling information together, planning, organising, updating things… even some of the jobs you currently pay someone else to do.

"WAIT… it can do THAT?!"
Yes babe, it can.

There are so many little things we do in business without ever stopping to think, surely there’s an easier way to do this? Well, there probably is.

This is exactly why I created my AI Hour of Power. It’s one hour, one on one with me, looking at your actual business and how you work. We’ll figure out what’s taking too bloody long, what you hate doing, what keeps getting pushed down the list and where AI could genuinely make things easier.

If I see one more AI generated flyer… 😂

Or another social media caption full of em dashes, “chaos”, “game changer” and all the other little giveaways, I might explode.

AI is everywhere now. And whether you love it, hate it, don’t trust it or have absolutely no idea what you’re doing with it, it’s not going anywhere.

Soooo you may as well learn how to actually use it to your benefit. Embrace it babe.

And I don’t just mean asking ChatGPT to write a Facebook post. 🤢
There is SO much more you can be doing with AI in your business. Emails, admin, research, planning, documents, client communication, ideas, systems, repetitive tasks, even workflows that can now be automated ridiculously easily. Work smarter not harder.

The funny thing is, plenty of people are already using AI every day, they’re just using about 10% of what it can actually do.

And if you’re a bit scared of it? Don’t be.

You don’t need to be tech savy, or understand how AI works. And you definitely don’t need to start handing your entire business over to a robot.
You just need to know how to make it useful for you.

I’ve been working on something new that does exactly that.

Happy first day of spring! 🥂

September has arrived, which means Christmas is still ages away…

Except it isn’t. It’s 115 days away. Which sounds reasonably comfortable until you remember the Christmas promotions, website updates, EDMs, social content, client gifts and the 127 other little jobs you were planning to organise closer to the time. Well that closer time is now, babe.🫦

If your first thought was, nope, absolutely not… you can book me for a few hours and hand over some of those jobs before they become December emergencies.

A little prep now means a slightly less unhinged end to the year, and more time for the important things like deciding which events really require your attendance. 😉

Have you noticed the little “AI info” notification appearing on social media posts lately?

Before you assume the entire post was created by a robot while the social media manager handed the job to ChatGPT and took an early mark, there’s a little more to it.

That notification can appear when an AI powered tool has been used during the editing process. It could relate to a completely generated image, but it may also come from something as simple as retouching a photo or using Canva’s background remover.

AI is quickly becoming part of the way we create, communicate and run our businesses. Personally, I’m very much here for it. 🫦

I use AI to speed up certain tasks, explore ideas and take care of some of the annoying things that used to take up hourssss. It doesn’t replace the strategy, experience or judgement behind the content. Someone still needs to know what to create, who it’s for, what the business should say and when AI has produced absolute rubbish.

Embracing AI doesn’t mean handing over your creativity, not at all. It means learning how to use a powerful new tool responsibly, thoughtfully and transparently.

AI isn’t going anywhere, so the smartest move we can make is learning how to work alongside it. 🥂

I’ve been creating social media content for businesses for years, and recently I’ve found myself taking a much closer look at how I do it.

The templates we relied on, the same collection of client photos used in rotation and the pressure to fill every space in a content calendar don’t feel like enough anymore.

AI is giving us an opportunity to rethink all of it.

A single product photo can now become an entire collection of beautifully styled content. A business that hasn’t had a recent photoshoot can explore new settings, concepts and creative directions. Still images can be transformed into engaging videos, and ideas that may once have been too expensive to produce are suddenly possible for a small business.

That doesn’t mean handing everything over to AI and accepting whatever it creates. Believe me, AI has produced some pretty strange fingers, extra fingers and the occasional bonus limb! 😂

The real value comes from combining the technology with human judgement, creativity and a genuine understanding of the business behind the content.

I’m changing the way I create for my clients, and I’m excited about where it’s heading. Social media is moving quickly, but small businesses now have access to creative possibilities that once belonged to much bigger brands.

Your website has about 3 seconds to make people trust your business, understand what you do and know where to click next.

Pretty 100% matters, don't get me wrong. But clear, strategic and easy to use matters even more. 😘
