Got a voice note the other day from one of my She Speaks Academy alumni, apologising for not getting back to me sooner. Turns out she's just busy being booked to speak at event after event after event all thanks to what she learnt with me.

That's the kind of "problem" I love hearing about.

Watching Amber go from strength to strength on the stage is one of the best parts of running this program.

Here's the truth about public speaking: you don't just wing it. And you don't "channel it" either (unless you're Esther Hicks 😂).

You have to learn the structure of a killer talk.
You have to learn how to tell your story (because there's a right way and a wrong way)
You have to learn how to command a room and make every person in it feel like you're talking directly to them.
You need real footage of you doing your thing, so you can promote yourself as a speaker. (not the fake audience kind)

That's exactly what we do inside She Speaks Academy.

Standing in front of a giant screen full of hate comments I've received over the past few months. I must say, these insecure pr*cks are making my content strategy easier. Keep it coming guys ;)

And yeah, women over 40 are so VERY far from done - we are just getting started. And last week's EPIC She Speaks Academy event confirmed that for me. Get used to seeing me 💋

I don't know what the future holds for She Speaks Academy, but I know one thing for sure...

I'll never forget this feeling. 😭😮‍💨 Watching women transform in front of my eyes. Go from self-doubt and terror about the prospect of speaking in public and sharing their story for the first time... to standing on stage and absolutely SMASHING it

I started in 2024 and since then I have taken 50+ women through SSA to standing on a stage delivering their first talk in public. Becoming the speaker they'd always dreamed of. And...

After 7 events, I honestly don't know when I'll do it again. I've shared recently how much money I've spent (and lost) on the event side of things. I wanted to teach women how to tell their stories. I didn't sign up to be an event organiser and promoter 😂

So next Tuesday's event will be my last for a while. I'm going to take some time to figure out how to restructure the business to make the events and business model worth it, because I KNOW how life-changing this work is. I don't see any other way to handle the events side of things besides getting an event partner/sponsor, possibly even government grants?

To every woman that took a chance on me. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. You'll never know how much it means and the immense pride I get when I look back on all your photos and videos.

In the meantime, I'm putting every ounce of energy I have into next Tuesday's event. It's very fitting that it'll also be my 44th birthday. The next lap around the sun will hit different, of that I'm sure.

WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED

Let's talk about the kinds of comments I have been getting on my content lately like this one.

Next week on Tuesday July 14th, I will turn 44. I will celebrating at the last She Speaks event of the year at Miami Marketta. 2 years in a business helping women become more confident public speakers. Creating a new platform for them to launch their speaking careers in an absolute vibe of a venue (think TED Talks meets Tay Tay)

Many of the women that get on that stage are close to 40 or older. They are not done - they are just getting started. And I am championing that women in their 40's have a whole other lifetime ahead of them and you best join them and their IDGAF era - or get outta the way.

Get in the room next Tuesday and put comments like this where they belong in the 🚽🤣

Be honest... are you happy with the friends in your life? Your friendship circle, the men/women in your life? Are you happy with who you're surrounded with? Do they light you up? Do they support you? Is it mutually beneficial? Do you get as much out of them as they get out of you.

If not, I want to share something with you that the incredible Chani Peach shared with us in her 28 Day Rich-ual Reset.

You don't get what you want. You get what you tolerate.

One examples she spoke about was friendship. If you are constantly surrounded by people that bitch and whinge and moan about their circumstances - the government, the economy - all of the things, yet you want to be with high vibe women, high-achieving women, people that are doing good in the world, people that are making a difference... but you don't ever take action towards that... Why?

Do you want chance without any action on your behalf? Are you putting yourself in rooms where those women are? Are you going to events where those kinds of women (or guys) that you want to be surrounded by are? Or are you just sitting in the comfort zone of the same old bu****it that you do every weekend with the same people in the same circumstances?

If this is activating you

My invitation to you is this - put yourself in rooms by yourself, so you can meet people that are aligned with the kind of woman that you want to become. And you know what room is coming up that fits that brief?

She Speaks on Tuesday, the 14th of July. That room is committed to your expansion. A room where we celebrate women's voices, where we celebrate courage, we celebrate people doing the damn thing. Speaking in public is feared by more than three quarters of the population. This room is curated to celebrate the women who say yes and do the thing anyway, even if they're sh****ng their pants.

The types of women She Speaks attracts are the high vibe, high-performing, ambitious women that are anything but surface level. People who are committed to making a difference. People committed to growth, not same-same stagnation.
