And Majella from Books By Majella

Their weird love for spreadsheets and numbers, and moreso their love for seeing us win was awesome.

And we also realised too many of us need to really look at our books, numbers, bank account to be EMPOWERED, CALM and have CLARITY because that will reduce the stress.

Thank you to those who took some photos and sent them through. It is hard being in the moment and then remember to promote the mission and 'vibe'. Thankful!

Ok what's this SE QLD MARKETING SUMMIT all about?!

The day is in 2 parts: the morning is for connecting, learning, absorbing and probably taking notes like you've never taken notes before.

The afternoon is practical and tailored to areas where you need to move the needle in your business.

WHY these sessions in the morning?
Simple - after the conversations I have at our monthly accountability call and networking events the questions asked and the conversations had are:
- but how do I actually use AI to help my business. I love searching crazy things with it... Then the conversation goes to - how to I use AI but make it sound less AI to help my business
- I don't like AI at all!
- I don't know what to post on social media. I get overwhelmed.
- I hate seeing myself on camera.
- I don't know how to use my phone properly
- how do we know what to post?
- I have been running meta ads but they're not converting
- how do I know what to put in my ads?
- I have a website. I've got no idea if it does anything

The list goes on and on... Then I thought well everyone is overwhelmed!! And a fun day is well fun... But does it actually help businesses move the needle? So I thought the afternoon session can actually help businesses with these challenges they're having. And FIX THINGS ON THE DAY with incredible experts...

COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF ALL JOY

Some real chats for your Monday morning. How crappy is the comparison game? It sneaks in when we are tired, hormonal and wondering if we can continue or if we should quit it all! (Never quit on a bad day people!!)

This is me currently - hormonal therefore irritated, tired, over it and ready to quit it all (I won't! Ha!) this is not a good time to look at what is trending on socials, what's converting cos the comparison kicks in and it all turns to crap!

We don't see the down days other business owners, and humans have, and as women we know it well - our cycles are different. Life circumstances are different. We see so many women have this deep strength they've been gifted with - BUT we cannot confuse the time for rising and fighting - with the time where we need to breathe and REST! And our bodies and minds tell us.

I dislike the hustle culture - and if I'm honest with you in my head I am currently ruminating if I don't send the emails the people won't come, you didn't do a social media post yesterday - the lack of consistency will kill your reach, if my house stays this unclean will it ever get better - I need to stop and priotise that. Does it all really matter in a day or two? You can take time off. No you can't - these things have timelines because you chose to do events. And it goes on and on... Then add in some constant noise from the kids and then mum guilts. The cycle can be harsh.

BUT as I sit here now I've asked the kids to write down what they're grateful for for each other and a prayer. Me stopping for 10min has changed the trajectory of our day. Talking it all out with the kids, expectations for the day for all of us (and the week) and how we can help one another. It's these little moments that can shift our days, weeks, months, years. For success! But yep, we have to do the hard to get the results.

So I'd love to share what I'm grateful for too.. shift the brain.
