More than 100 people joined us for the City of Launceston Mayoral Debate, hearing directly from candidates on the issues that matter to our business community.
Thanks to Chamber Board Member Daniel Gillie from Solstice Energy for facilitating and asking the tough questions, with CEO Alina Bain keeping everyone to time!
A big shout-out to Du Cane Brewing for the venue, fantastic hospitality and delicious pizza.
Local government decisions impact business. Our role is to make sure the business voice is in the room and part of the conversation.

Council elections: debate the issues
The local government elections are an opportunity to put business priorities before candidates and hear how they would support investment, vibrant town centres and local jobs. The Chamber is hosting two special Pizza & Pollies debates in Launceston and supporting opportunities to meet candidates across the region.

A full house for yesterday’s Tamar Valley Leaders Lunch!
It was great to partner with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) to bring the Digital Pulse report to Northern Tasmania, with insights relevant to every business – not just the IT department.
A sell-out event, plenty of great conversation and lots to take away.

Great to see some new and familiar faces at today’s Members Connect!
A big thank you to Toby Newstead and Bianca Welsh for leading a practical conversation on virtues and navigating change, with plenty of useful ideas for our members to take back into their businesses and workplaces.
The workbook on virtues was a fantastic addition too, giving everyone something practical to take away and keep working through.
Members sharing with members, learning from each other and making connections – that’s what Members Connect is all about.

A welcome first step towards breathing new life into the Brisbane Street Mall and our C*D.
The new play space will help create a positive experience for residents and visitors ahead of the summer season—encouraging more people to come into the city, stay longer and spend with our wonderful local businesses.
The Chamber welcomes this progress and will watch the next stages with interest.
