🕊🤍 Remembering Crofty 🤍🕊
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Noel Croft, “Crofty” – the heart and founder of Whitsunday Design & Drafting.
Noel spent a significant part of his life drafting. At 15, he began as a cadet draftsman with the Main Roads Department and later went on to establish WDD; a business that has shaped much of our local landscape and community for 40 years. A true champion for the craft of drafting, Noel devoted much of his career to training and mentoring countless cadets, many of whom have gone on to successful careers of their own. In 2010, WDD transitioned to new ownership as Noel stepped away from drafting to be with his beloved wife Rae, leaving behind not only a proud legacy but countless friendships and memories.
To us, Noel was so much more than our founder. He was a mentor, a friend, and truly part of our family. Fiercely loyal and full of heart, Noel loved his footy, his fishing, a good yarn and, above of all, his family. Anyone lucky enough to be drawn into his orbit knows just how special he was.
His wisdom, values, kindness and guidance will stay with us always. We are forever grateful for the mark he’s left on our lives and the legacy he leaves behind.
Rest easy, Crofty. Give Rae a big hug for us.
