One thing we never get tired of is the moment a team goes from "we just call support for everything" to actually knowing their way around JD Edwards themselves.

That's honestly the goal with our training, not to make ourselves indispensable, but the opposite. Fewer support tickets, faster internal fixes, more confidence using stuff like Orchestrator without needing us to hold their hand every time.

If your JDE team could use a confidence boost (or you're onboarding new starters and want them up to speed faster), flick me a message. Always happy to talk shop even if it doesn't go anywhere.

"Many businesses have bought the Ferrari. But they never took it out of first gear."
That line came from one of our JDE CNC specialists on the latest episode of ERP Unlocked β€” and it's the most accurate description of what we see across JDE environments that we've heard in years.
The platform can do things most of its users have never asked it to do. AI integration. Orchestrated automation. Low-code application changes. Self-managing infrastructure components.
First gear is comfortable. But there's a lot of road ahead.

Chatting with a client this week who mentioned their new hires were basically learning JD Edwards by trial and error - clicking around and hoping for the best. That's such a common problem. Generic training doesn't help much when it's not built around how your system is actually configured.

We've been doing JDE training since '98 and the thing that actually moves the needle is running sessions on the client's own instance, with their own modules and processes, not some generic demo environment. Sounds obvious but you'd be surprised how often that's not how it's done.

If your team's flying blind on JDE, happy to have a chat about what tailored training could look like. No hard sell, just conversation.

πŸ’¬ "We'll deal with MYOB EXO when we have to."
Sound familiar? We hear it a lot. And it makes sense β€” migrations are painful, and day-to-day business doesn't stop.
But "when we have to" for EXO Payroll users is now effectively mid-2026 at the latest if you want a smooth transition. Rushed ERP migrations are where cost overruns and operational chaos happen.
The businesses that navigate this best go in with a clear picture of their own requirements before talking to vendors β€” so they're evaluating systems on their terms, not being sold to.
We've written a no-nonsense guide to ERP selection that's worth bookmarking right now, even if you're not ready to move yet.

πŸ”„ If MYOB EXO is your current system, you already know change is coming.
MyStaffInfo is gone. EXO Payroll licences can't be renewed. The writing is on the wall for the broader platform.
But here's the thing β€” being forced to re-evaluate your ERP is actually a rare opportunity. Most businesses only go through this once every 10–15 years. Done right, it's a chance to stop patching around limitations and build on a system that genuinely fits how your business operates today.
The mistake most people make? Jumping straight to "which system do we pick?" without first asking "what do we actually need?" Independent ERP selection β€” where no one is trying to sell you a specific product β€” changes the outcome significantly.

⚠️ MYOB EXO users β€” October 2026 is closer than you think.
After October 2026, EXO Payroll hits a compliance cliff. No more tax rate updates, no more pay runs. Just read-only access. And ERP migrations don't happen overnight β€” scoping, data migration, parallel running, training, go-live all takes time.
The businesses that come out of this transition well aren't the ones who scramble at the last minute. They're the ones who used the forced change as a chance to properly evaluate what they actually need from an ERP in 2026 β€” not what they needed a decade ago.
We've put together a plain-English guide to ERP selection to help you ask the right questions before committing to anything. Worth a read before you make one of the biggest system decisions your business will face.

Rob Sheldrick has sat across the table from dozens of mid-market business leaders navigating the EXO end-of-life decision.
The ones who got it right had one thing in common: they got independent advice before they got vendor advice.
Not a demo. Not a proposal. An honest conversation about what their business actually needs β€” and which platform genuinely delivers it.
If you're managing complex inventory, multiple currencies, or cross-border operations on MYOB EXO β€” that conversation is available to you, free of charge.

⚠️ MYOB EXO Payroll compliance support ends October 2026.
If that's news to you, you're not alone β€” but you need to move now.
A proper ERP migration for a complex business takes 3 to 6 months minimum. More if you have multi-entity structures, international operations, or intricate inventory management.
The businesses that will struggle are the ones starting this conversation in mid-2026.
Don't let a vendor's timeline become your timeline. Get an independent assessment first β€” so you know what you're actually choosing between.

Proud to share this one from the Ndevr team.
We recently wrapped up a project with one of Australia's major manufacturers - a customer we've been supporting for 15 years - that tackled two real operational headaches:

1) A growing pile of returned special orders that suppliers wouldn't take back, creating millions in inventory risk
2) A paper-based credit claims process handling 95,000 orders a year, with claims getting lost and customers getting frustrated

The solution wasn't a new system. It was targeted enhancements to the JD Edwards ERP system they already had.
Projected outcome: up to $12M in savings.

Neither of our guests on this episode set out to become JD Edwards CNC specialists.
One got a phone call from a former colleague, sat through a meeting where a technical consultant made the low-level infrastructure stuff sound genuinely exciting, and resigned from his job shortly afterwards.
The other walked into a job interview with a friend β€” wasn't even on the candidate list β€” got asked if he knew anything about JDE, said he'd never heard of it, and got hired anyway.
Between them they now have decades of combined experience across JDE environments of every size, every release, and every level of crisis.
The JDE community is like that. Nobody plans to end up here. But the people who do tend to stay for a very long time.
If you're part of that community, this one's for you.
