We’re incredibly proud to announce that ECORR has been named a Winner in the Property & Construction category of The Australian Financial Review Sustainability Leaders 2026, presented by BDO.
This recognition celebrates the work our team is doing to make circular construction practical, measurable and commercially viable. At the centre of our submission was ECORR’s Impact Assessment Tool (IAT) – developed to help infrastructure projects quantify and compare the carbon, transport, resource recovery and commercial impacts of circular construction alternatives against conventional approaches. For ECORR, circularity is about more than recycling. It’s about demonstrating that better environmental outcomes can also deliver better project outcomes – reducing carbon, avoiding unnecessary transport and landfill, recovering valuable resources and creating measurable commercial value. We’re proud to receive this recognition and grateful to our team, clients and project partners who continue to support and implement circular solutions across the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Happy International Dog Day!

From Jumbo truck seats to the Jumbo couch… Billie has been part of the team since 2022. 🐶💚

Four years later, she’s still bringing a little extra joy to our employees, customers and pretty much anyone who crosses her path.

Her official title? CMO.

No, not Chief Marketing Officer… something far more important: Chief Morale Officer. 😉

While the rest of us are answering the UHF radio, phones and emails, Billie’s responsible for keeping morale high and making sure nobody takes the workday too seriously.

This event is close to the hearts of our team. It is being held in memory of Nathan, the son of one of our colleague's best friends, who tragically took his own life on 24 June.

Nathan was a devoted father and spent much of his life supporting people experiencing mental health challenges. His passing is a reminder that even those who help others can be fighting battles we cannot see.

The event aims to raise awareness of men's mental health, encourage people to reach out for support, and help reduce the stigma around mental health. Funds raised will also go towards supporting Nathan's daughter and family.

We're pleased to announce that ECORR - Eco Resource Recovery Pty Ltd has made a strategic investment in the 𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩.

In 2022, the owners of Jumbo Skip Bins acquired Moreton Bay Recycling, bringing the two businesses under common ownership. Since then, both businesses have continued to grow while strengthening their collaboration across waste management, recycling and resource recovery.

Today, the #𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐨 and Moreton Bay Recycling brands continue to operate as a united business group, combining their expertise, resources and capabilities to deliver integrated solutions for customers across South East Queensland.

ECORR's investment reflects confidence in the long-term vision of the Jumbo Resources Group and will support our continued investment in people, infrastructure, innovation and sustainable growth.

For our customers, suppliers and business partners, it's important to know that our day-to-day operations remain unchanged. Today, part of the Moreton Bay Recycling & team pledged to refuse single-use coffee cups throughout Plastic Free July by bringing their reusable cups to work. 🧡♻️

Did you know that so-called "paper" coffee cups aren't just made of paper?

Most are lined with plastic (i.e. HDPE) or bioplastics (i.e. PLA), which means they can't be recycled in the kerbside recycling bin.

Choosing a reusable cup is a small change that can make a big difference by reducing unnecessary waste and keeping valuable materials out of landfill.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬 #𝟏

Did you know concrete once helped defend Britain from enemy aircraft? ✈️

Before radar became widespread, huge concrete structures known as 𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐬 or "𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬" were built along England's coastline.

Their curved surfaces were designed to capture and amplify the sound of approaching aircraft engines, providing an early warning system before enemy planes came into view.

Some of these remarkable concrete structures were built in the 1920s and 1930s, and several still stand today as a reminder of concrete's unexpected role in military history.

Who knew concrete could listen? 👂😁
