WOW! Check out this most amazing sunrise.

Quite often winter (especially in the Tamar Valley) has the best sunrises where the sky looks like it's on fire. It may be frosty but will often fine up to be a beautiful crisp sunny day!

Wine Spotlight: 2024 Amarone

This wine is a Swinging Gate Classic. Blended from our best Pinot Noir & Cab Sauv; this 2024 vintage has notes of cinnamon, orange, star anise & rich tannins, making it a great food wine - especially for some hearty winter dishes.

Sunday night with a lamb tagine or beef /mushroom stroganoff, a big hunk of fresh crusty bread & glass of Amarone... Sign us up...

Hooray! Vintage is done & Dusted for another year & we have managed to have a few days off for a much deserved break after 3 weeks of intense picking.
Thank goodness the weather played nice!

We're forever grateful to our incredible team, who celebrated with us at our end of pick party.

Now, as we shift gears into winter, we're excited to tackle new challenges and catch up on other tasks. And the best part? We'll have more time to connect with you at cellar door! 🥂

The fire will be on & it'll be cosy! Come up & see what's new!

Exciting Long Weekend News...

Join us to celebrate King Charles,🐓 our resident Rooster's, Birthday. 🎂🍾 🍷
The vineyard will be decorated in Autumn colours in his honour! 🍁🍂
🍕🍕We will have Pizza by Paige Saturday 6 June from 12 until 4.30 or until sold out.

Who knew this lucky chap was important enough to have his own Public Holiday! If you are lucky Queen Camilla might pop into Cellar Door too .

No feeding the chickens though!!

If you like some of the Swinging Gate Natural wines – you may want to come along and try their wines & support an emerging label.

Barrel Inspection time!

Vintage is always a busy time for the team. One of the many jobs for Doug is checking out our newly delivered barrels. These are gorgeous French Oak; pre-seasoned especially for our red wines. All our reds are put into old wood barrels to enhance their flavours.
