On Friday, the Fresh team had the privilege of attending the WishList Spring Carnival - an event that is close to our hearts which brings together people from across the Sunshine Coast to raise vital funds for local healthcare.

For Maya in particular, who has participated in 17 Wishlist annual events, this was about more than enjoying a beautiful afternoon. It was about seeing first-hand the generosity, connection and community spirit behind the work WishList does every day.

And what an incredible result.

More than 830 Sunshine Coast locals came together to raise $415,748 for WishList, the Sunshine Coast Hospital Foundation.

Those funds will help deliver vital medical equipment and support better healthcare for local patients and their families, right here on the Sunshine Coast.

As a team that gets to work alongside Sunshine Coast organisations and businesses every day, we feel pretty lucky to be part of a community that shows up for causes that matter.

A huge congratulations to the Wishlist team, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who helped make this event happen.

What a day. What a community. What a result. šŸ’—

New faces. Big client milestones. Birthdays and launches. August was a cracker of a month for the Fresh team.

We’ve been lucky enough to be part of some pretty special moments this month - from celebrating 30 years of McNab and the launch of Sunshine Coast Open House to the ribbon cutting at Aura Home + Life, welcoming new people to the Fresh team and celebrating birthdays along the way.

A big part of what we love about this work is getting to be alongside our clients for these moments. The launches, the milestones, the celebrations and everything in between.

And behind every project are good people, great conversations and a whole lot of teamwork.

Here’s a little glimpse of our August. We’re very grateful to everyone who trusted us to be part of it.

A decade of opening doors is worth celebrating!

Today, Sunshine Coast Open House officially launched its 10th anniversary program, with the Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, and Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli among the dignitaries joining the celebration.

Fresh PR & Marketing was proud to help bring the milestone to life through media engagement, helping share the story of an event that has opened more than 250 buildings and welcomed thousands of visitors since 2017.

It’s a chance to step inside some of the Sunshine Coast’s most inspiring architecture, discover places you wouldn’t normally see, and see first-hand how thoughtful design can shape the way we live.

This year’s theme, Sustainable Inclusive Design, explores how design can create spaces that are more sustainable, accessible and connected to community.

Sunshine Coast Open House runs 16–25 October, with all building visits free.

This is a great milestone for a genuinely community-focused event and one we’re so proud to be part of.

When a community needs a stronger sense of identity, the answer starts with listening.

For Helen, the work behind ā€œI Am Nambourā€ was about bringing local businesses, leaders and the wider community together to create something people could genuinely feel part of.

From workshops and stakeholder engagement through to brand strategy, storytelling, activations and media, the project turned local voices into a shared identity for Nambour.

It’s a great example of what happens when community engagement is strategic, considered and built around the people who live and work there.

Aura Home + Life has officially opened, marking the completion of Capital Property Group’s $80 million retail precinct on the southern Sunshine Coast.

With major national retailers including Rebel, The Good Guys, Spotlight, Anaconda, TK Maxx, Supercheap Auto and Harris Scarfe now open, the new precinct is bringing more choice, convenience and jobs to a rapidly growing region.

We’ve loved working alongside Capital Property Group to build awareness of Aura Home + Life and share the story of this major Sunshine Coast development - culminating in hosting media, stakeholders and guests onsite for the official ribbon cutting.

This is a great project, a great team and a very special milestone to be part of.

What if the future of healthcare isn’t just about treatment - but where people live, too?

Youngcare’s commitment to 10 purpose-built Specialist Disability Accommodation apartments at Windsor Health Quarter is an example of this shift.

The integrated healthcare precinct will bring medical, allied health and disability accommodation together in one location, just 800m from the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

For people living with disability, suitable accommodation is only part of the picture. Being connected to healthcare, transport and support services can make a meaningful difference to independence and quality of life.

As demand for SDA continues to grow, projects like Windsor Health Quarter highlight a broader shift towards healthcare environments designed around people, not just buildings.

Fresh PR & Marketing was proud to support the announcement and help bring the wider story of this partnership to the forefront.

We loved sharing the story of ā€˜The Lodge’, the newly opened social and recreational heart of Stockland Halcyon Serrata in Burpengary East.šŸ”

Affectionately named by homeowners for its resemblance to a ski chalet, The Lodge was officially opened with the unveiling of a kookaburra sculpture created by Moreton Bay chainsaw artist Luke Sheehan as a gift from Stockland to the community.

As homeowner Genevieve Pitt shared: ā€œWe hear laughing kookaburras and curlews every day and watch possums make their way from the reserve each night, so the kookaburra is a wonderful representation of the nature surrounding us.ā€

The story secured a great mix of coverage across local print, property and seniors living media. https://freshprm.com.au/moreton-bay-over-50s-community-unveils-new-lifestyle-and-recreational-facilities/

A pleasure to be part of this collaboration with Elizabeth Tilley at The Tannery. There’s something special about working on a project like this - a rare heritage project where history, considered design and the way people want to live today come together.
Maya Gurry was proud to be involved in bringing this story to life. Hearing Liz’s valuable insights and perspective on the project reinforced what makes The Tannery so distinctive. Projects like this don’t come along often. It was a pleasure to be part of one.
Watch Liz share what makes The Tannery so special.

There’s plenty happening on the Sunshine Coast right now – and some pretty impressive numbers behind it.

More than $3.26 billion in building approvals over the past year (that's up 25% on last year), major projects coming out of the ground and significant investment across tourism, health, aviation, housing, retail and infrastructure.

Sunshine Coast Business Council Chair Sandy Zubrinich brings it all together in this piece, looking at what’s driving the momentum and why it’s important we keep it going.

It’s great to see so many long-planned projects becoming a reality – and even better to see the confidence being shown in the future of our region.
