🇬🇧 News of the Week: Plug-in solar hits the UK

Following a change in government rules, plug-in solar panels can now be legally sold in the UK, with High Street retailers including Argos stocking them from today.

Designed to make solar more accessible, the systems can be installed without an electrician and simply plug into a mains socket. The government estimates they could cover around a fifth of the average household’s electricity use while the sun is shining.
