We are incredibly excited to announce that ADG Laboratories has joined the HiQA Group, marking another huge milestone in the growth of HiQA and officially expanding our footprint into Tasmania!

Based in Mornington, Tasmania, ADG Laboratories is an established NATA-accredited construction materials testing laboratory, providing geotechnical and civil construction materials testing services to the Tasmanian industry.

This is an exciting new chapter for both businesses.

By welcoming ADG Laboratories, we're combining their local knowledge, experience and established presence in Tasmania with the systems, resources and support of the wider HiQA Group.

Emily joined us back in 2021 as HiQA's Finance Support Officer and, over the past five years, has grown into an incredibly knowledgeable and valued member of our Support Team. Today, she is our Accounts Payable & Purchasing Officer and the go-to person for all things AP and purchasing across the HiQA Group.

Emily is one of those people who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything moving. She is hardworking, reliable, incredibly organised and always willing to help. Her knowledge of our business, attention to detail and commitment to getting things done make her an absolute asset to the team.

Over the years, we’ve watched Emily continue to grow, take on more responsibility and become a key part of the team we rely on every day. We couldn’t be prouder of everything she has accomplished. 💐

Today we’re celebrating Kevin Noone and his 5-year service milestone with HiQA!

Kev’s history with HiQA actually goes back even further, originally joining us in 2015 in the NT. After a brief time away, we were lucky enough to welcome him back in 2021 as our Western Australia Branch Leader.

With years of industry experience and a Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Kev brings a wealth of knowledge to HiQA and is a huge asset to our team.

Today, Kev leads our WA team, overseeing the WA laboratory and our Project Annexes across Western Australia.

Congratulations on 5 years, Kev! Thank you for everything you bring to HiQA and for continuing to lead and grow our WA operations.

🪨 Aggregate Sampling & Testing in Katherine

Our Katherine team has been out and about at quarries across the region, completing conformance testing on aggregate stockpiles for our clients.

The process begins with representative samples being collected from the stockpile in accordance with AS 1141.3.1. From there, the samples head back to the HiQA laboratory 🔬 where our team can carry out a range of accredited testing depending on the project and client specifications.

Testing can include Particle Size Distribution, Particle Shape, Flakiness Index and Average Least Dimension.

Conformance testing plays an important role in ensuring aggregates are fit for their intended use, including concrete mix designs and road construction. 🚧

🏞️ Out and about in Kakadu!

Our HiQA Katherine team has recently been making regular trips into the Kakadu Region to support IBE Contracting with the urgent repairs to Jim Jim Falls Road.

The team is completing conformance testing on the access track, helping ensure the materials used and completed works meet the required standards.

A pretty spectacular backdrop for a day on the job!

🏇 Katherine Cup Day 2026 🏆

The HiQA team had a fantastic time at Katherine Cup Day over the weekend, and we were proud to be one of the sponsors supporting this great local event.
