Flying the flag - literally.

You'll have spotted it on the way into town: a very large Tadano flag now flying off a 10-tonne crane out the front of our yard, facing the highway.

It's a fitting mount. That crane has done its years of work, and it's now holding up the flag for the brand we're proud to represent as your North Queensland Tadano dealer - sales, service, parts and support for truck-mounted and rough terrain cranes.

This week's arrivals: one Deutz compressor that drank something it shouldnt have, and a multityre roller getting a full hydraulic strip and flush after a catastrophic failure.

The dome's booked out for a few weeks - but we'll always find a spot for a good machine in a bad way

The new shed is already filled!

Our new outdoor dome is up and running, and it didn't take long to fill!

With the shed at max capacity, this gives us the extra room we've been needing for our equipment maintenance team.

A compacted floor, plus shipping containers fitted out as dedicated workspaces are in progress means more jobs on the go at once and better turnaround for our customers. Especially handy with the bigger machines!

In the workshop for one of our valued clients.

This 8.5-tonne excavator is currently undergoing a boom cylinder and bucket swivel overhaul. Stripped, inspected, and being rebuilt to get it back to full operation.

Remote work. Real risks. Zero room for downtime.

When the nearest parts supplier is hours away, every component in your lubrication system matters.

We’ve just completed a week-long full centralised grease system audit and service for a remote site client during their planned shutdown.

Everything was covered - pump units, lines, injectors, and metering valves. All inspected, cleaned, and returned to service.

Out here, small issues don’t stay small for long. A neglected l**e system won’t give you a warning, your bearings will.

And when production is online, the last thing you want is a bearing telling you it’s had enough.

Start or continue your apprenticeship with a team committed to developing skilled tradespeople. Gain hands-on experience across hydraulics, CNC machining, fabrication and heavy equipment repairs from day one.

Fitter & Turner Tradespeople
Work on a diverse range of machining, fabrication and precision repair projects, from one-off component overhauls through to larger production runs.

Diesel Fitters & Mechanics
Whether your background is hydraulic, diesel or general mechanical work, we'd love to hear from you. We're also happy to invest in the right Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to transition into the diesel and hydraulic industry.

Called out this week for a machine down.

Team got in there and quickly diagnosed what the customer thought was going to be an expensive pump replacement was actually a travel hose that had blown and was hidden away.

Replaced all 4 travel hoses and had the machine back up and running in no time.

Great result for the customer, what could've been a costly pump rebuild turned out to be a straightforward hose replacement. Always worth a thorough look before jumping to conclusions!

Out on site this week doing an initial assessment on an 85t excavator with a main pump starting to feel the heat of full production.
