🎉 Celebrating Sandra’s 15-Year Milestone at Bartlett Manufacturing! 🎉

Sandra has been part of the Bartlett Manufacturing Defence team for 15 years, joining during its early days when the team consisted of just a small group of employees working to deliver some of our first major Defence contracts.

At the time, these new products pushed our machinery and processes to their limits, creating the need for new equipment and improved ways of working. It was during this period of growth that Sandra’s strong work ethic, drive and skills played an important role in helping establish and develop the Defence division into the diverse operation it is today.

One machine in particular became a standout for Sandra, our programmable bar tacker. Sandra consistently achieved exceptional output on the machine, setting a benchmark that others could aspire to.

Over the years, Sandra’s knowledge of our Defence products has continued to grow, and she has become a valuable source of knowledge for the team. She regularly helps train others, sharing her experience and ensuring the correct steps and processes are followed to produce quality products.

One of Sandra’s key areas of responsibility has been the production of windscreen covers. She has taken ownership of the many steps involved in the process, guiding others along the way and making sure each cover is completed correctly. Her attention to detail and commitment to getting these products right is reflected in the quality that our Defence customers have come to expect.

Sandra is also someone who will give just about anything a go. When the Bunker tables needed some extra support, Sandra stepped across for a few months and was determined to prove she could handle the role just as well as anyone else. Needless to say, she did exactly that!

Sandra’s approach to work is simple. She gets in, puts her head down and gets the job done. She doesn’t need a lot of fuss or attention, she just quietly gets on with it and takes pride in making sure the job is completed to the required standard.

That consistency, strong work ethic and pride in her work have made Sandra a valued member of the Bartlett Manufacturing Defence team.

Congratulations, Sandra, on 15 years of service at Bartlett Manufacturing. It’s a fantastic milestone, and we look forward to many more to come!

As Bartlett Manufacturing celebrates 70 years in 2026, we’re reflecting on the milestones that shaped the growth and expanding capabilities of the business.

In 1988, after 32 years in business and 20 years at the Learmonth Road premises, Bartlett Manufacturing moved to a new purpose-built factory at 172 Ring Road, Wendouree, which remains our home today.

The move increased production space from 1,120 sqm to 3,500 sqm. With a team of 24 staff, the business also introduced its first forklift and afternoon shift, marking an important step forward in production capacity and operations.

A major milestone in Bartlett Manufacturing’s history, supporting the next stage of the business’s growth.

🎉 Celebrating Ben’s 10-Year Milestone at Bartlett Manufacturing! 🎉

Ben joined Bartlett Manufacturing in 2016, straight from university after completing a Diploma of Marketing and a Diploma of Digital Media Technology. Ten years later, he has grown into a key contributor to the business across both Sales and Marketing.

As our Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Ben has developed a strong understanding of our General product range, learning the details needed to handle a wide variety of customer enquiries. From farmers and truck drivers to sporting associations and CFA departments, Ben works with a diverse range of customers and helps find practical solutions to meet their needs.

Ben also plays an important role as the link between Sales and the production floor, making sure information from customer enquiries and orders is communicated accurately and efficiently to the teams on the floor.

While sales is an important part of his role, Ben’s real passion is marketing. Over the past 10 years, he has helped grow Bartlett Manufacturing’s presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, with video content bringing a new style and personality to our marketing. His creativity has been particularly evident in our staff Christmas videos, which have provided plenty of laughs and entertainment for the team over the years.

Ben also leads our graphic design and recently played a major role in rebuilding the Bartlett Manufacturing website. With plenty of different views, requirements and details to bring together, it was no small task, but Ben helped bring it all together.

Over the years, Ben has also developed marketing plans for new products and helped introduce new ways for Bartlett Manufacturing to connect with customers and showcase our products and capabilities.

Outside of work, Ben’s passion for Oasis has seen him travel around the world to attend their concerts, usually with a few Guinnesses along the way. He also keeps busy supporting Leeds United and Richmond, and this year ticked off a personal achievement by completing a half marathon in April.

Ben, thanks for the past 10 years of hard work, creativity and commitment to Bartlett Manufacturing. Congratulations on your 10-year milestone, and here’s to plenty more to come!

🎉 Celebrating Sam’s 5-Year Milestone at Bartlett Manufacturing! 🎉

Sam joined Bartlett Manufacturing in early 2021, starting on the Bunker table before quickly progressing into a Bunker welder operator role, where his strong work ethic made an immediate impression.

Within his first year, Sam was part of one of our biggest Bunker seasons, helping the team deliver a significant volume of Landmark material between October and December. Since then, he has remained a key contributor to the Bunker operation, always willing to knuckle down and help the team meet production targets.

After around 10 months, Sam took time away to travel around Australia and Europe, making the most of his love for music festivals and skiing. Returning in October 2022, he moved into the Defence section before bringing his experience back to the Bunker table for subsequent seasons.

Over the years, Sam has developed skills across a wide range of products, machinery and sections, from the FIAB machine and general welding to his more recent move into a Team Leader role in the Tank division. His willingness to take on new challenges and support wherever needed has made him a valued member of the team.

🎉 Celebrating Tyler’s 5-Year Milestone at Bartlett Manufacturing! 🎉

As a proud 4th generation Bartlett, Tyler officially joined Bartlett Manufacturing as a 19-year-old in August 2021, starting as a casual in our Defence Products factory.

Beginning with the basics of preparation work in the Defence section, Tyler’s strong attention to detail and systematic approach quickly stood out. This saw him move into a QA support role alongside Sharpy, where he developed a strong understanding of how our products are made, along with the different materials and processes required to fabricate them correctly.

During the peak of Covid, Tyler moved into the cutting area, working across the conveyor plotter before progressing onto the bristle plotter. These roles highlighted his ability to maintain quality while delivering strong output across key machinery processes.

As Defence orders continued to grow, Tyler moved across to the ultrasonic cutter at Bartlett Blinds. This coincided with the start of our first defence window cover contract, with Tyler making the area his home for the following six months.

Working independently from the main factory was a great development opportunity for Tyler. He was responsible for ensuring fabrics and stillages were available and prepared for the day ahead, a challenge he took on and excelled at.

Tyler then returned to the General factory, where he continued to broaden his skills across a range of products, including tarps, winepress membranes and PACs, as well as supporting the Bunker table.

Tyler has since become heavily involved in the Bunker operation, learning all positions and roles across the table. This season, he has taken on the responsibility of driving one of the rotating teams on the welder, putting his experience to the test as the team prepares for another busy season and welcomes new faces into the operation.

Throughout his five years, Tyler has built a reputation for being someone who is always willing to help wherever needed, approaching new challenges with a positive attitude and getting on with the job without fuss.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys video games.

As Bartlett Manufacturing celebrates 70 years in 2026, we’re reflecting on the milestones that recognise the growing capability of the business. In 1984, our first six tank liners were manufactured, creating a niche market for extending the life of farmers’ cracked concrete tanks. During the 1980s, Interlock Tanks became a major customer with its new bolt-together steel tank concept, driving volumes to 530 liners supplied Australia-wide. Today, tank liners operate as their own division, with a dedicated factory, two shifts and export markets.

🎉 Celebrating Darron’s 5-Year Milestone at Bartlett Manufacturing! 🎉

Darron joined Bartlett Manufacturing five years ago, stepping into the role during a peak production period in the middle of Covid.

Coming from a heavy machinery mechanical background, Darron’s mechanical mindset quickly proved to be a great fit for Bartlett Manufacturing. He had to rapidly absorb the knowledge and experience of the team around him, with no real opportunity to ease into the role. Darron had to hit the ground running, quickly learning our unique machinery, understanding how it operated, how to respond when things went wrong and, importantly, how to stay on top of preventative maintenance to keep production moving.

Although Darron has only been with Bartlett Manufacturing for five years, the number of projects and changes he has been involved in makes it hard to believe how much has been achieved in that time.

One of his first major projects was the Tank factory extension, which came with plenty of challenges, including commissioning a new plotter cutter that arrived onsite loose inside a shipping container after its journey from the USA.

Darron’s quick wit and ability to build strong relationships have also helped him develop great connections with our machinery contractors. He has become someone they know they can expect a call from when something needs sorting, regardless of the day or time.

Since then, Darron has been heavily involved in the General factory extension, the new tearoom and mezzanine production spaces, working closely with builders, solving problems and helping keep projects moving.

The Blinds factory has also benefited from Darron’s input, with new plotter cutters and welders introduced to meet our requirements and incorporate the unique modifications needed for our production processes. More recently, he has been involved in changes to the Blinds floor layout, with the implementation of the general factory floor area next on his list.

From the beginning, Darron has also been a strong contributor to the social side of Bartlett Manufacturing, joining the Social Club committee and recognising the importance of keeping the team connected outside of work.

Outside of work, Darron enjoys the classic Australian combination of four-wheel driving, camping, boating and fishing, usually with a few drinks along the way.

Congratulations, Darron, on 5 years of service at Bartlett Manufacturing. Thank you for your hard work, mechanical know-how and contribution over the past five years. You have certainly made a big impact across the business, and we look forward to seeing what the next few years bring.

Bartlett Manufacturing came together today for our quarterly staff update, bringing team members from across the business together at Bartlett Blinds on Grandlee Drive.

While our quarterly updates are usually held at our general factory on Ring Road, hosting this update at Bartlett Blinds on Grandlee Drive gave many team members the opportunity to visit the factory for the first time and gain a better understanding of the work carried out across the broader Bartlett business.

These updates are an opportunity to share what we are working on, provide insight into the direction of the business, and stay connected as a team. They also give us a chance to recognise the achievements and contributions of our people across all areas of Bartlett.

Thank you to our team for taking the time to come together and for their continued dedication and contribution to Bartlett Manufacturing.
