We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lawn Maintenance Technician (LMT) to join our Maintenance Services team. We provide comprehensive yard maintenance services to residences. As a LMT on our team, you operate power rake, aerators, mowers, leaf blowers, line trimmers, edger’s and other common tools to create and maintain carefully manicured outdoor spaces. We are especially interested in candidates with prior experience in landscape maintenance, ground maintenance, aerating, irrigation, and fertilization techniques.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Use mowers, line trimmers, and common hand tools to trim grass, edge lawn areas, and maintain nearby plants and foliage.
-Work outdoors in all weather conditions, maintaining energy and pace along with the team.
-Operate leaf blowers and gather grass and hedge trimmings for removal.
-Drive a truck to various client locations and ensure proper storage of equipment during transport.
-Ability to provide high-quality customer service.
-Ensure that landscape quality is not reduced, and the lawn is monitored.
-Ensure inventory procedures are followed prior to leaving for projects.
Perform maintenance and landscape tasks for the client.
-Deliver work according to the contract specifications.
-Execute gardens and lawns maintenance, and periodic clean-ups.
-Ensure proper use of ergonomic practices, personal protective and safety equipment.
-Attend to concerns or questions with clients by forwarding them to the Operations Manager, MS.
-Communicate possible new customer opportunities immediately.
-Deliver coupons at homes, 3 up, 3 down & 6 across from every job site.
-Ensure successful completion of all job site reports if required.
-Loading/unloading materials and equipment.
-Clean and wash dirty equipment and return to the shop.
-Report broken or damaged equipment to Operations Manager, MS.
-Fill equipment, mowers, and can with fuel and mix fuel in preparation for the next day’s work.
Administrative Responsibilities
-Personal Time tracking (Track) via your Smart Phone or Company provided Tablet assigned to truck. Picture of face required.
-Payroll via (Wage Point).
-Check Sheet required after each job with Pictures (via: Jobber)
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Experience
-Able to lift upwards of 50 pounds.
-Able to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
-Must be able to work in a physical environment for up to 8 hours.
-Familiarity with common landscaping equipment.
-Prior experience or work in lawn maintenance (preferred).
-Reliable and self-motivated.
-Shifts start at 6:30am at the shop.
Should be able to keep composure while working.
-Should be available to work Monday to Friday no matter the weather.
Ability to work effectively with people of varying skill levels as a team.
-Should be able to follow directions and process/procedures.
-Work with and report to the supervisor to review the day’s work with the Operations Manager, MS.
Special Conditions of Employment
-Must have a valid driver’s license.
-NOTE: Need to be over 21 to drive a company vehicle
