My son and we parents were invited to his schoolโ€™s IB Graduation Ceremony, and while my heart was filled with pride watching him reach this milestone, a part of me was quietly holding onto the little boy I once walked into school.

I still remember his first day โ€” holding his hand, helping him find his classroom, and making sure he felt comfortable in a brand-new world.

He was the one guiding me through the event hall, showing me around the cafeteria, and confidently leading the way.

One small note: because it is not the actual graduation day, I would avoid saying โ€œhe graduatedโ€ anywhere. โ€œIB Graduation Ceremonyโ€ is fine because that is the school event, but your emotional focus should remain on the last school chapter and the transition into adulthood.
