One of the hardest lessons entrepreneurs learn is that growth doesn’t come from doing everything yourself. It comes from learning to trust others.

My latest podcast guest, Adele Tetangco, knows this firsthand. As the co-founder of Garmentory, founder of Snack-Size, et tigre, fractional CMO, and a respected connector in the fashion industry, she’s spent more than 20 years helping brands grow, scale, and navigate change.

In this clip, Adele shares one of the most important lessons she learned while building businesses:

“Investing in the right people and trusting the people you’re hiring is how businesses grow.”

For many founders, letting go feels uncomfortable. We worry no one will care as much as we do. We hold onto tasks because we think we’re the only ones who can do them properly.

But as Adele explains, growth often begins when founders stop trying to do everything and start building the right team around them.

What’s one task you’ve struggled to delegate in your business?

🎙️ Episode #74: Building Brands, Community, and Scaling Fashion Businesses with Adele Tetangco is now live.

Lately I’ve been living more intentional and savoring every moment.

That means spending less time on social media. Because honestly it doesn’t make me feel good. And of the many conversations I’ve had lately with other women founders I haven’t met one person who says they love social media. As a matter of fact I hear things like people are feeling tired of the comparison trap and feeling behind in their business after going on social media. At the conference one of the guests said they use the Brick to restrict their phone usage.

I’m tired of the apps hijacking my time and attention. Honestly, I would be happier without it, and probably wouldn’t be on as much if I didn’t run a business. So if you hear from me less than usual it’s cause I’m out and about living life IRL.

What’s your relationship with social media?

I thought I’d answer some of the most common questions I’ve been getting recently from fashion, beauty, and lifestyle founders.

These are questions coming from clients, podcast listeners, founders in my community, and brands I’m speaking with every week.

Q: How do I attract my ideal customer and build relationships with people who aren’t ready to buy yet?

Most fashion brands use search data for marketing.

The smartest brands use it for product development.

Before you invest in a new collection, search data can reveal:

âś” What customers are actively looking for
âś” Emerging trends gaining momentum
âś” Seasonal demand patterns
âś” Language customers actually use to describe products
✔ Gaps competitors aren’t addressing

After spending more than 20 years in apparel—from product development and sourcing to ecommerce and SEO—I’ve found that search data is one of the most overlooked forms of customer research available to fashion brands.

The brands that win aren’t just creating products they hope customers want.

They’re using real demand signals to make smarter decisions before production begins.

After more than 20 years in the fashion industry, I’ve realized something important: Beautiful products alone are no longer enough.

If customers can’t find your brand through Google, AI search, product discovery, and organic search, growth becomes much harder and more expensive.

That’s why I’ve evolved my work into helping brands become more discoverable in the modern digital landscape.

Hi I’m Glynis, founder of Chase Your Dreams Consulting and a Fashion E-commerce Visibility Strategist.

I help fashion and lifestyle e-commerce brands turn Google and AI visibility into predictable revenue, not just traffic.

Before starting my consulting business, I worked with brands like Club Monaco and Reebok, and later ran my own clothing brand for over a decade. My experience spans technical design, sourcing, product development, garment manufacturing, ecommerce, digital marketing, and SEO.

What makes my approach different is that I don’t just understand search engines, I understand the fashion industry itself.

I understand how products are developed, how collections are merchandised, how customers shop, and how founders think because I’ve lived it firsthand.

Today, I combine that industry experience with SEO and AI visibility strategy to help brands become easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to trust online.

Through my consulting work, educational content, and the Chase Your Dreams Podcast, I share practical insights to help founders make smarter marketing decisions that support sustainable long-term growth.

I’m excited to continue evolving this next chapter of my work and helping brands navigate the future of search, visibility, and ecommerce growth.

Most brands are pouring money into paid channels while ignoring SEO, even though it’s one of the few marketing assets that compounds over time.

I help ecommerce brands improve their visibility across search and AI so they can drive more revenue organically.

Do I need to be a big brand with huge resources and big ad budget to do well in SEO?

Q: The giants in the industry must clearly have the funds to sink into paid ads, as a small company in order to compete with the “goliaths”. What are your recommendations for us to actually show up? Is it always pay to play? Is there any organic smart ways to go about it?

A: When it comes to organic search, it depends how well you optimize for organic search. That means they look at the signals that come from your website, therefore you have a level paying field when it comes to SEO.

For example I helped a small mom and pop sportswear shop to rank on page 1 along with giants like Lululemon, Adidas, Golf Town.

The good news is Foundational SEO can level the playing field with big brands without you needing a big budget.
