We're excited to welcome John Knox to the Focus team as our newest Sales Growth Advisor! 👋

John brings a genuine curiosity about business, sales and people to his role.

He understands that growing a business can be challenging when the owner is also trying to manage everything else. His approach starts with asking the right questions, understanding what's getting in the way and helping business owners determine what their sales team needs to move forward.

We especially appreciate John's belief in developing people and helping them recognize the value they bring to their customers.

Outside of Focus, John is no stranger to a challenge either. After completing three Ironman Triathlons and the Boston Marathon twice, these days you'll find him enjoying running, mountain biking, downhill skiing and the occasional round of golf.

Most often, it’s because the sales team is operating without enough structure, accountability, visibility or leadership.

That’s why we’re excited to welcome Maxine Harvey to the Focus team as a Fractional Sales Leader.

Maxine brings more than two decades of B2B sales and leadership experience. She has been a business owner, a salesperson, a coach, and a leader, helping businesses build the systems, processes, and accountability needed to create consistent growth.

What drew us to Maxine was her passion for helping people succeed. She loves getting to the root cause of what’s creating friction inside a sales organization, removing obstacles, and helping teams perform at their best.

There's a trade-off many father understand well.

Providing for the people you love.
And being present with the people you love.

Most dads spend years trying to balance both.
Building careers.
Building businesses.
Building opportunities.

While trying not to miss the moments that matter most.
The school events.
The family dinners.
The tournaments or recitals.
The conversations that happen when nobody else is around.

It's not always easy.
But the effort matters.

Today we're grateful for the fathers who show up every day for their families and the people who depend on them.

Last week we exhibited at The Business Show US Miami.
It was a great couple of days with a lot of strong conversations with business owners.

One comment came up more than once:
"I didn't realize how much sales still depended on me until we talked it through."

That's usually where things start.

Sales is sometimes working (not always consistently)... but the systems to make it repeatable aren't always in place. Or they live in the owner's head instead of within the team.

As a result, business owners stay more involved than they should (and often more than they want to).

This isn't a people problem.
It's a structure, visibility and accountability problem.
