Anglian Waste Recycling Group expands into the Midlands with acquisition of LW Skips
Investment secures the future of respected Cannock business while bringing expanded environmental services to Staffordshire.
Anglian Waste Recycling Group has strengthened its presence in the Midlands following the acquisition of Cannock-based LW Skips, marking the next stage in the Group's continued growth and investment across the waste, recycling and environmental services sector.
For more than 25 years, LW Skips has built a strong reputation for reliable skip hire, waste management and recycling services across Cannock, Lichfield, Burntwood, Rugeley, Walsall and the wider Staffordshire and Birmingham areas. The acquisition ensures the business remains locally focused while benefiting from the additional expertise, resources and investment of the wider Anglian Group.
Customers will continue to receive the same trusted local service, with the added benefit of access to a broader range of environmental solutions as the business develops. These include demolition, asbestos removal, recycling, earthworks & land remediation, scaffolding and specialist waste management services, creating one of the region's most comprehensive service offerings for domestic, commercial and industrial clients.
Investment is already underway, with a programme of fleet rebranding, operational improvements and additional equipment planned as part of the Group's long-term commitment to growing the business and strengthening its presence across Staffordshire.
Lee Storer, Managing Director of Anglian Waste Recycling Group, said:
"LW Skips has built an excellent reputation over the last 25 years and has a loyal customer base. Our priority is to build on that success while investing in the future of the business.
"This acquisition isn't about changing what has made LW successful – it's about providing additional resources, investment and expertise that will benefit both existing and new customers.
"By bringing LW Skips into the Anglian Waste Recycling Group, we're combining strong local knowledge with the experience of a business that operates across demolition, recycling, asbestos management, transport and environmental services. We're excited about the opportunities this creates for our customers, our employees and the wider Staffordshire region."
The acquisition represents the latest step in Anglian Waste Recycling Group's long-term growth strategy, with further investment and expansion planned over the coming months.
