🚨 PLEASE DON'T PUT LIQUID PAINT IN YOUR SKIP! 🎨🚫

Paint can cause serious problems when it gets into skips — from spills and contamination to risks for our staff, lorries, wildlife and the environment.

🐦 WILDLIFE – Paint can be harmful to animals and contaminate their habitats.
💧 DRAINS & WATERWAYS – Liquid paint can enter drainage systems and cause pollution.
🚛 LORRIES & EQUIPMENT – Paint can spill during loading, transport and tipping, causing mess, damage and expensive cleaning.
👷 PEOPLE – Paint can create health and safety risks for anyone handling the waste.
💷 CLEAR-UP FEES – Contaminated skips can require additional cleaning and disposal, which may result in extra charges.

✅ THE GOOD NEWS!

🪣 EMPTY PAINT TINS CAN GO IN OUR SKIPS.

If there is only a small amount of paint residue left in the tin, please mix it thoroughly with cat litter or sawdust and allow it to absorb/dry completely before putting the tin in the skip.

❌ NO LIQUID PAINT, OILS AND LIQUIDS PLEASE!

If you're unsure whether your paint or other waste can go into your skip, give Baldwin Skip Hire Ltd a call before putting it in.

♻️ A few minutes of care can prevent pollution, protect our staff and wildlife, and avoid unnecessary clean-up charges.

Global Machinery Solutions Ltd☺️

Earlier this year, we shared how Baldwin Skip Hire is using the Pronar Pro.S1 shredder and SANY UK & Ireland SY135C excavators to improve efficiency across its recycling operation.

The standout result? 👇

🚛 2 TONNES MORE MATERIAL PER ROLL-ON BIN

That means fewer movements, reduced haulage costs and greater efficiency across the operation. 💪

♻️ Improved processing for RDF production
⚙️ More efficient material handling

Get in touch with our team to find out how we can help you find the right solution for your operation.

⚠️ IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE – BATTERIES ARE NOT ACCEPTED ⚠️

Due to the recent hot weather, increased workloads across the waste industry and the serious incidents and tragedies involving battery fires, we must remind all customers that batteries must NOT be placed in any of our skips.

This includes all types of batteries, especially lithium-ion batteries, which can become damaged, overheat, ignite or cause serious fires when placed in waste or crushed during the recycling process.

🚫 DO NOT place any of the following in our skips:

🔸Loose household or remote-control batteries
🔸Lithium-ion batteries
🔸Car and vehicle batteries
🔸Vapes and disposable e-cigarettes
🔸Drills and power tools
🔸Rechargeable tools and equipment
🔸Mobile phones, tablets and electronic devices
🔸Toys, appliances or any item containing a built-in battery
🔸Any electrical item with a battery that cannot be safely removed

Even small or hidden batteries can cause a fire, putting our drivers, staff, customers, vehicles, recycling facilities and members of the public at serious risk.

Any skip returned containing batteries, vapes, battery-powered equipment or items with built-in batteries WILL be subject to a fine and/or additional charges for the safe removal and disposal of the prohibited material.

Please check all waste carefully before placing it into a skip. If you are unsure whether an item contains a battery, please contact us before disposal.

KEEP SAFE. BE MINDFUL. STOP THE DANGER. 🔥

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us protect people, property and the environment.
